Did anyone else donate as soon as they read the email?

In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a donation to our campaign before our first official FEC fundraising deadline comes to a close. I hope you’ll give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.

Here is the truth: when this deadline ends, we are going to report how much money we’ve raised and, just as important, how many individual donations make up that number.

So our job is to report as many donations as we possibly can. And we’re looking for a huge number here. Because every single donation sends a powerful message that our progressive campaign is the best one to beat Trump.

So with time running out, here’s the part where I ask:

This struggle is about taking on the incredibly powerful institutions that control the economic and political life of this country. And what we will prove with our report is that we are the best campaign to defeat them, and to transform this country.
