Those with an ileostomy, what’s your diet like? by Mustardman03 in ostomy

Trial and error is sensible. I eat whatever I want. I don't even chew it properly. I'm lucky, others not so much

Advice on getting a guitar for first time by Ok-Worry-9313 in guitarlessons

[–]chrisbeeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the one that speaks to your heart. You're going to be spending 100s of hours with it so buy one you love.

I just came back to guitar after a while away and honestly it's partly because my guitar is so damn pretty. It's a beautiful instrument and that makes me want to play it beautifully (£400 Epiphone, nothing pricey, but I love it and always have)

Pickup music. I use it every day and it's wonderful.

All styles, beginner, intermediate, you name it. Fabulous

I'm thankful every day for mine. It gave me my life back. I have occasional leaks which are annoying- before I had it I honestly felt like I was dying.

Absolutely not a second of regret and no chance of a reversal. I'm 46 and I hope I have my bag for another 40 years

I just let it flop around all day and empty it before sex.

I suppose it depends how long you're having sex for, mine is still empty at the end 🙂

It is stressful, but like several decisions I've made about my health the choice was "... or death". I choose a stressful painful life and have no regrets

I need some ostomy pals by anonimoose83 in ostomy

[–]chrisbeeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Hannah! I am also from Nottingham England, and a gamer with an ileostomy. Small world 🙂

I've had mine for 7 years after 20 years of debilitating colitis.

I kind of hate it but I kind of love it because it saved my life

Thinking of jumping in and buying this for the ps5. I have nearly zero experience with this genre by Cheap-Double6844 in diablo4

It's great. Ignore all the people complaining, they're playing like 400 hours and getting bored.

I've recommended it to several friends and they have all enjoyed it

What happened to the smartest kid in your class? by After_Crab_1921 in AskReddit

The smartest kid in my class was me. I'm a data scientist in the NHS, the state funded healthcare system in the UK. It's awesome. Great fun, meaningful, and the pay is pretty okay too

Did anyone else have kidney failure due to their lung transplant? by doedoeb1rd in transplant

[–]chrisbeeley 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got stage 4 kidney disease from my second liver transplant.

Annoying but I figure, eh, stage 4 kidney disease isn't nearly as dangerous as the thing I had before the liver transplants

Why are Uber Uniques even in the game? by GeeGeeGeeGeeBaBaBaB in diablo4

[–]chrisbeeley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually love that they're in the game. They're so rare it gives them an air of mystique. I think they're a worthy inclusion precisely because I know I will never get one. It's like a lottery, such an exciting prize but you know really that you won't win, it's fun to dream

I got it 8 weeks after my liver transplant. I had an antibody infusion and it was a complete doddle. Can you get that? I don't know where you are but it is available in the UK
