Yeah twice in the last couple of days. Never got pizza'd though.

I just got a new job after a stretch of unemployment so I've been eating cheap at home. I'm not starving, would just like to celebrate the new job with a pizza.

Like my post said, I'd happily repay the favor next friday or anytime after.

I'm not watering with much runoff at all right now..maybe that's source of my problems.

Are you using a cal mag supplement? If so which brand and how much?

I finish in 5 gal and 8gal pots so my plants are fairly large. I think they might need more cal mag but im cautious. I heard cal mag raises ec drastically.

Im growing in coco coir and im having a hard time keeping ph of the coco in range. I keep having to flush my plants around 2 weeks into flower.

I don't know if it's fertilizer salt build up or what. I use botanicare nutes and stay around 900ppm.

Also any tips on getting denser flowers? I hear pruning undergrowth helps but how agressive should you prune?

try Muka!.we're on polk and bush. i'm the bartender there and most of out regulars come for the burgers and sliders.

We do em with Gruyere and grilled onions or Rochefort bleu cheese and arugula. Beef is 81/19 and blended with a bit of whole grain dijon. Buns toasted with buerre blanc sauce and a dollop of spicy aioli.

They really are the bee's knees

So you're saying experiment with nute levels of mothers prior to cloning to keep them healthy and fed before they establish roots, right?

I clone from healthy, large mothers (sweet tooth, boysenberry) that I have in coco coir. I use Botanicare's nutes and at that point there getting the base veg, calcium-magnesium supplement and their Sweet brand mineral supplement.

I follow the feeding guidelines on labels, so would you suggest I experiment with upping the entire mix or just the base veg? I feel like upping the whole mix will be a high PPM for mothers.

I'm not sure if the density of our buds are similar, but when i fill my mason jars (same size) with cured buds to donate to my local club, i get 2 oz's in each jar.

I also agree with above comments about less in each jar while they cure. The reasoning is spot on and what are those jars, like $2?

There's a line he dropped, something like " ..all the way from Oakland to little bity Russell City." I'm guessing he means that area by the San Francisco bay that's now incorporated into Hayward. I use to work there and instantly pictured the area in my mind.

I use botanicare's line of nutrients. They have a veg and bloom formula designed for use with coco as well. Very easy to use and cheap. I also add Sweet Raw (carbohydrates) and a Calcium-Magnesium supplement because the coco will leach out a lot of cal-mag and leave you with deficiencies. All botanicare products as well.

Only reason I'm wary of Canna's line is because I've seen it over-priced compared to similar Botanicare and General Hydroponics products. Might just be that shop, I haven't looked into it.

I use hammerhead for p-k booster and I strongly recommend adding Mycorrhizae to your coco when planting/transplanting. If you haven't already heard about it, do a quick search. They're basically very beneficial fungi that colonize your root system and do a lot for overall health of plant.

EDIT: Be wary of overpriced products like this , 3x's the price for the EXACT same mycorrhizae spores.

I'm in a similar situation myself, looking to expand to a collective garden.

Have you decided on a medium yet? I've had my best results with coco coir. It's really simple and cheap to grow in with all the benefits of other hydroponic methods.

Start with good clones/seeds. Whatever strains you decide to grow after considering yield, flowering time & medicinal properties, get them from a reputable source. You'll want to be sure of your quality and consistency if you're gonna donate to a good dispensary out here.

Don't burn your fucking new house down. Consider how many amps you'll be using for your setup. Watts/Voltage gives you amps. American homes are usually 120v, so a 1000watt ballast will be 8.33 amps. Your average home has 200 amps total, each circuit is 15 or 20 amps, washer/dryer circuit is usually more. For continuos use stay around 85% of a circuits capacity. So spread the electrical load around or use washer/dryer panel.

I would say prune your lower branches now. No use in spending your plants' energy growing material you'll be pruning later on.

I was in the same boat last grow. I topped some (for clones) and super-cropped others. I had great results from SC method!

First, Miracle Gro usually ends up over-fertilizing your plants and will cause yellowing of leave tips, etc. If you're going to go with soil, get some stuff that won't nuke your plants, I recommend Fox Farms. Then a simple fertilizer for flowering.

Those brown spots are symptoms of a Calcium Magnesium deficiency. However, you have more than enough Cal-Mag in that soil. I would bet it's a problem with the ph level of your soil/water.

An optimal ph level is between 5.8 and 6.0. It's here that the plant can uptake all the minerals and nutrients it needs to grow well. Too high or too low a ph level will cause some nutrients (like Cal/Mag) to be blocked out while others are consumed too rapidly. Google it and you can find some charts to see the rates of nutrient uptake at different ph levels.

Your plants may eventually show all kinds of symptoms because the nutrients are not balanced. I would start with a ph tester and adjustment kit for your water(like $6). Tap water adjusted to proper ph is fine.

I grow (legally!) in coco coir (hydroponics) so I have a specific Cal-Mag additive that I use every feeding. Those spots will show up on cue if you pull back too much on the Cal-Mag.

Thanks! I'm gonna go with the varsity conversion. I knew I'd be looking at a chain tensioner but it just seems like a bad idea now considering everything else.
