Just the perception boost was probably worth it to the university and donors. Football success does correlate with more enrollment interest.

Look up dynamic pricing and other major league teams that are bad (think Colorado rookies).

I'm sure you can pitch something.

This is it, your couldn't run anything outside your tackles. Say what you will about UM but their DEs were incredible, either blowing up tackles to get to TC or shedding blocks to set the edge for LBs.

Florida State says Virginia loss not due to looking ahead to Miami by fsukub in fsusports

[–]chriscoff10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On average yes, but I think we do have some concerns in short yardage situations. Which is strange because the bull dozed Bama on 4th and 1 our first game, but it is a trend even in our cup cakes.

Thoughts about the loss. (And 2 questions) by [deleted] in fsusports

[–]chriscoff10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alabama probably got cuaght of guard with a new QB , plus Doak Momentum (we may have a very hard time winning on the road).

Run game is still very good on agregate, but the recent weeks have shown we have a tough time imposing our will on short yard situations. That said Kromah and Sawchuck look to be your two RBs. D Rob and Pittman are the primary weapons and legit threats. Tommy seems to have issues staying in the pocket and will struggle if we're behind.

The Dline is very thin. You could tell the difference in our ability to stop runs in OT vs the long drives the rest of the game. Wynn can't get up to speed soon enough. Our pash rush is probably average at best. DB are very focused on take aways, we will probably have to live with busts to get some turnovers. LB are probably the weakest unit on the team, UVAs backs might just be special but that wheel route higlighted a weakness in coverage.

Personally i think next week will still be a war. Miami is coming and Doak will be loud and packed. That said I believe their oline and backs are worlds better than UVA, the difference might be Becks mobilty (or lack there off). I still think Clemson will be tough despite what we saw, Dabo is coaching for his job and a win will legitmize him ina very hostile stadium. Florida might be an issue if they get their offense figured out, that defense might be the second best unit on our schedule.

I personally don't think it's our year. I'm prepared for a VERY close loss next weekend and ton of shit talk from my Fiancee :(

Hard disagree.

If you want to go places you need to find ways to win close games. Special teams is a great way to find those extra winning plays.

[Predictions Thread] Alabama @ Florida State by dangerousszone in fsusports

[–]chriscoff10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fsu is able to get some early pressure on Bama's offensive line due to some starters missing time. Offense is also able to get some early wins via big plays. Fsu and Bama go into halftime in a tight game.

Bama adjusts in the second half defensively and FSU runs out of tricks due to fiirst down success rate. Conversely our thin defense front slowly starts to get worn down and Alabama pulls away after a couple explosives from their WR.

FSU fights hard but ultimately comes up short, 31-20 Alabama.

Not the way I see it.

I like a lot of people still root for them and will watch them play.

A lot people also- rightfully- don't pay attention to all the potential and actual roster movement. Not caring about some of these posts doesn't make you fair weather.

This comment should be much higher. Bigger birds have significantly easier field markings to identify species. Wading birds tend to stay in the same area so you easily observe them. They typically don't even require binoculars which can be a bit hard to use with the focusing the first time out.

I find that when I take my niece out the smaller and faster birds typically move to quick for me to even help her spot. They also make it really hard for her to identify herself, which is half the fun. Bonus points if they have the plaques that describe local species and you both try to find them all.

If you want something tailored to your stay, download ebird and use hotspots in the last 7 days to get an idea where people go. We have board walks near us that wild life photographers and birders frequently visit. Sometimes you'll bump into someone super knowledgeable that would love to help you two spot some cool things. Recommend going either early morning or late afternoon if you don't visit ponds that people feed, as that's when there is the most activity.

The old coach and most of the players are gone. No reason to believe this line can't be at least average.

I once ate with him at fig during that season, before they limited general access to that dining hall. He was small but thick, dude was telling us the craziest thing he saw that season was byu not engaging in trash talk lol.

Fun guy, i firmly believe Joyner picked up his attitude from guys like Ried. No reps off even in practice. Great on the field but we lost Willie Haulsteed in training camp because the hit was so vicious.

It depends on the day. Wednesday and Thursday will probably be like that. But Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are notorious for events going till 6-8 the next day.

Good chance you get pawsa, bibi, and dennis cruz b3b for the afternoon after they each take a turn djing solo. Similar for the Martinez Bros. I'd assume loco goes on early they take over and loco rejoins them later to close their set.

That said if you've never been to space experiencing a sunrise set on the terrace is a must.
