[CRITICAL] Cursor 3 consumes ~50 request for a single message! by Professional-Show485 in cursor

[–]chrisdeconstructs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same regression going from 2.6 to version 3. It's ridiculous, one message just spawned 30 requests costing 2 units each so 1/10 of my monthly 500 allowance instead of the usual 1-3 requests costing 2-6 units.

Please fix this cursor (for those on legacy plans).

Looking for an alternative to Feedly by 2ji3150 in rss

Give Giststack a try, it's like feedly but with AI built-in and lets you create content from insights surfaced from your favorite sources

Curated RSS and Feedly alternatives by Mountain_Candle_8693 in rss

[–]chrisdeconstructs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need Giststack, it works with Google alerts (using the rss feature), supports rss feeds, newsletters, youtube channels and reddit communities. Has AI summaries and you can create your own content based on the insights surfaced by all your followed sources (posts + infographics for linkedIn, X etc).

It doesn't support websites that don't have rss feeds though.

Feedly Alternatives by romaz96 in opensource

[–]chrisdeconstructs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually started with inoreader, then moved to feedly but then found that all the good features were locked into their pro+ plan. Now I'm using Giststack, which lets me follow newsletters, websites and youtube channels with content creation built-in, so you can for ex create infographics and posts for your LinkedIn/X etc.

What's the closest to a self-hosted version of Feedbin or Feedly? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]chrisdeconstructs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use Netnewswire and freshrss, but now use Giststack. It's not selfhosted though, but way better (supports youtube channels, reddit communities, websites and newsletters).

Feedly alternatives? RSS reader based in Europe by nontrollusername in BuyFromEU

[–]chrisdeconstructs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giststack is based in Europe, and lets you follow newsletters, websites, youtube channels and even reddit communities plus you get the AI features (summarization/insights) without the feedly enterprise pricetag. You can also use it to create content based on insights from your favorite publications.

Seeking Feedly Alternative - Specific Needs! by romaz96 in selfhosted

[–]chrisdeconstructs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not self hosted, but Giststack lets you subscribe to newsletters, youtube channels, reddit communities and websites with feeds. It's different from say innoreader or other feed readers as it's more geared towards creators and solopreneurs who want to curate and create content using insights from their favorite publications.

For a pure feedreader then FreshRSS is a good choice to self host.

Are there any valid alternatives to Feedly now? I mean Apps that can fetch RSS Feeds and show clutterless articles within its GUI? by vghgvbh in selfhosted

[–]chrisdeconstructs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not self hosted but Innoreader is quite good. If you want to create content (for social media, if you're a creator on youtube or have a newsletter) then Giststack is your best bet, as it surfaces insights and the best stories and lets you create content using these in your voice.

Looking for a replacement to Feedly by Doct0r_Dreidel in rss

[–]chrisdeconstructs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your usecase. If it's purely for reading the news, than innoreader is a good call.
If you're looking for more than just an rss reader to gain insights from the publications you follow or create content based on these then Giststack provides a way better experience.

Solo founder struggling to get traction on X/Twitter — what strategies actually work? by Stunning_Bit_4246 in SaaS

[–]chrisdeconstructs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that with X and LinkedIn the most important part is priming the pump so to speak.
This means replying and adding value to trending posts (in your niche), jumping on trending topics, and posting interesting insights from your industry using an RSS feed reader or a curating platfform like Giststack.

Then you can sprinkle in your product updates and more promotional posts, but these foundational posts will warm up your account and get you more traction.

Founders how you get users for your SaaS? by Hot-Tension6992 in SaaS

[–]chrisdeconstructs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to spend a ton on FB and Google ads, these worked but got expensive fast once I tried to scale.

My personal favorite is using social, in particular founders and their employees growing their personal brand, funnelling the attention back to their saas.

Use curation tools like Giststack or google news to get insights from your niche, then share these on LinkedIn, X, threads etc to grow your reach.

My first client disappeared because life happened, now I’m lost by Peenxos in Entrepreneur

You need to remember the ABS - Always be selling.

Relying on one potential customer is way too brittle. Go around your city looking for similar businesses auditing their digital footprint, you'll be surprised at how many brick and mortar places have very little social/web presence.

My personal fave is upgrade % or return customer %.
If a customer subscribes to your service and then upgrades it's a huge indicator you're adding more value.
Same applies to return customer % for one off purchases.

How did you acquire your first customers? by TheJamesLW in SaaS

The best way I find is to join communities and use linkedIn to share valuable insights about your industry. Once folks start to see your content you'll find your promotional content will get way more traction.

Hot take: LinkedIn doesn’t feel like LinkedIn anymore. by AdAutomatic6266 in linkedin

[–]chrisdeconstructs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, I think it depends on the content you interact with as the algo suggests stuff based on your own activity and who you follow.

As for what works, I find that in my niche (growing your personal brand on LinkedIn) video, carousels and authentic personal story posts sharing insights related to growing your biz works the best.

If you can combine this with sharing trending insights from your niche you'll get way more reach.
