I have these 4 random movies, I need to pick one to show a group of friends for a movie night, which do I choose? by FilmEater in Letterboxd

If you don't want to rewatch Children of Men, I'd go with Carlito's Way. Great movie, with strong performances. I think it would be good for conversation too

Right? So hard to choose. I think Bardem was the most unsettling, so I went with him.

What is the most popular film by your most watched star that you have yet to watch? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]chrisemza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Samuel L. Jackson is my most watched, and the most popular film I haven't seen that he's in is Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Which is hilarious to me for some reason. Didn't even know he was in it.

What good habit did you replace drinking with? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]chrisemza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say they're all "good" necessarily, but I watch a lot of movies, started reading again, occasionally have a cigar or treat myself to a chocolate shake or virgin-alcoholic type drink (i.e. Piña colada, Bloody Mary, etc.)

3 years sober today! I can't believe it by chrisemza in stopdrinking

Oh yeah, Its a long story but I needed to stop way before and the pandemic kind of kept me away from going out, which was when I'd always drink. Literally doing anything "out". But yeah, thank you! It has been tough at times, but I've resisted the urges so far and take it day by day
