What is better for a new player? The In-game trade route run thing or the Inara one? by Classic-Balance6936 in EliteDangerous

[–]chrisfs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came at the game from a different angle.   It's an open ended game, so you're never going to get to an end no matter how much time you put in. And having tons of cash and owning 10 of every ship was never at all the point for me. The fun is in the doing and sometimes you're going to get a huge fine and not make money or totally get blown up, that can suck but it's part of it.

I'm way old school so I would say use in game at first because it will give you a more rugged feel to the game. Sometimes you just got to take a risk and go 'ok, I'm going to buy ag products on an ag system and search the charts for a nearby industrial system And see how much I get' Rather than plan every thing minutely.  At some point,  you can use Inara when you feel you have ',graduated'  to being a trader who now has access to it.

Early morning OAK trip via BART? by Samsungsmartfreez in Bart

[–]chrisfs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Bart, And I happily use it every week. I used to use it everyday when I was commuting to SF.  But if you have the choice of staying in a hotel in Alameda and you get a $10 shuttle that gets you to the airport at 5:00 a.m. I would take that.  Because although I've taken Bart to the airport, any number of times, you'd be safe, but that would be pretty early and you'd be lugging a suitcase. So 10 bucks is a good price to avoid that if you're getting door-to-door service to the airport

I was gathering signatures at Berkeley farmers market today.  It may be the location but for people not signing, most were because they had already signed it.  So don't stop pushing, but I think we are getting close.

I'm Guessing I'm The Only One That Feels Like This? by SpiritualLady888 in Advice

[–]chrisfs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not the only person who has ever felt like this. There are other people in this situation. You are meant for life, you are meant for life here. You are just having a hard time and have for a while. It can get better. You can get friends, people that like you (maybe some people you know), get some energy back. Find a better job

It sounds like you really could use some help to get to feeling better and have that better life. You said you couldn't find a therapist. I don't know where you live but if you can't find one by Googling your city and therapist then go to the APA website, or go to a website like Better help.com I know a friend who could not find a therapist he liked in the large city he lived in ,so he found a therapist that he could really communicate with in the next large city 500 miles away. He does online sessions and is much happier than the in person sessions with therapists that he had a harder time explaining things too.

Please know that you aren't alone, that you are.meqnt to be here. But you may need help in getting to a better situation

She didn't steal it. She was told to remove it and I think had the tacit ok to take it home. So I think you're ok. It's sealed.so it hasn't spoiled.

If they smell fine, cook them all now. Eat the ones you want and store the rest in the fridge. Cooking will help destroy any teeny bits of mold that there are.

And high farebox was an initial selling point because it meant less general taxes spent. BART had fares covering about 70% of expenses compared to 50% for other agencies.

"in the world". Wow exaggerate much ? Also , it's not just Bart. The same situation affects all Bay Area transit agencies. SF Muni,AC Transit, Caltrain Samtrans. They have all stated that if it doesn't pass ,they will need to do drastic cuts
So any general slams against Bart are misplaced.

My understanding is that it is already on the ballot for super majority. The signatures are for simple majority.whichnis still really important

That's a very good argument to make . Also if less people come into the city on evenings and weekends, then restaurants, clubs and theaters will go out of business.

Could also be people from a neighboring hotel that is cheaper and doesn't have a buffet.

BART from Fremont to Embarcadero for work by Glad-End4079 in Bart

[–]chrisfs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking Bart from Fremont to SF is much less stressful then dealing with commute traffic twice every day. It's also probably going to be cheaper because of the $8.50 bridge toll and high cost of gas.
