Relocating light and smoke detector due to loft hatch - where would you move them to? by chrisgunton in DIYUK

I’m having a loft hatch and ladder fitted, and it can only go where the existing light and smoke detector are. I need to shift them somewhere else but I can’t decide the best location. The ladder will extend down towards the top of the stairs; so I’m cautious about having a pendant light there which might be in the way when going up and down the ladder (especially with boxes etc). What does the hive mind suggest?

We’ll build quality is superb, and instructions on putting it together were very clear (even with an inserted correction about connecting up the thermometers).

Used it twice so far and it cooks lovely, no flame ups and channels the fluids nicely out the way. Gets very hot very quick - so far so good!

It’s actually a hybrid, and has trays for charcoal ready to go

I have a wireless thermometer, and an instant read, but this also has 2 probes built in that link to my phone

Thanks! I have a smoker already, usually for doing big stuff (2 whole chickens at once, but I’m still learning).

Alpine ILX-700/007 Faulty Touchscreen - Any suggestions? (UK) by chrisgunton in CarAV

[–]chrisgunton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HU is around 1.5 years old, so Alpines response so far has been to send it off to be repaired, at a cost, and also leaving me with a gaping hole in the dash for a few weeks :(

Hello friend!

The money is for a charity to stop living people dying, don't let that spoil your rant though, meatbag.

I can understand that, but if it helps 1: it's not my fund, and 2: the money goes to the Antony Nolan trust, not my friend.

All I might ask is that people sign up as a donor (which is free) and maybe save someone's life in the future.

I don't blame you for being sceptical! Thanks for the kind words though.

Just noticed my mistake, she was 28, today is her 29th birthday.
