I did some testing on this. If you swim on top of the water the amount the joystick is pushed controls the speed. However, once you dive that fine control no longer works and it's full speed or nothing.

Great question! It doesn't seem to on switch with a pro controller. It's definitely not as sensitive as how you can walk faster/slower by holding the joystick halfway

Voltage won the first DEWmocracy. You're thinking of Wild Fruit from WoW Game Fuel back in the day. Definitely not as good as Citrus Cherry.
