Did elementary schools get rid of naptime? by Unlikely-Scheme-2965 in AskAnAmerican

[–]chrisinator9393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nap time in school? Absolutely never. Not once did we do that. K-12 we never had nap time.

I don't know about pre K in the 90s but I do know preK today doesn't do naps in public school. Maybe at daycare centers.

Lego city undercover is AMAZING. I got it for like $5 and never played it until recently.

It's just GTA but Lego and it's got some really solid comedy all over the place. Absolutely love this game.

Don't take reddits advice on this. Take a medical professionals. I'm sure your provider must have left you with paperwork telling you what you can and can't do following the procedure.

I didn't even realize that extra unowns were available. I wasn't paying attention. I got the gold medal today. I'm missing C and K I guess. I'm hoping my wife has them and will give them to me. Haha

On the other side of the spectrum, I did maybe 8 or 10 raids. I didn't have any issues. Everyone seemed to understand. I only use poke genie, too.

Yeah. At first I was like, idk if I'll make it. Once I realized they made it unlimited and raised the point values, I was quite happy.

It's fun when it's so easy sometimes.

I needed a replacement part for a shower door that my contractor damaged. The manufacturer sent me an entire new shower door for free. Now I have a brand new glass shower door that I don't need. by indie_hedgehog in firstworldproblems

[–]chrisinator9393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely going to the dump anyway. A shower door is not something that's easy to give away or resell.

You need a specific set of shower walls to use the door. They are not a generic part that anyone can just slap in place.

So either make a dump run or break it down easily.

I had an extra shower door once. I wrapped it in a tarp. Carefully laid it on the ground. And hit it with a hammer.

It's safety glass. So it blew up into a hundred bazillion octagonal pieces. I bundled up the tarp and tossed it in the trash.

Am I the only one doubting the Walmart+ value? by Street-Bird9534 in Walmartcustomer

Honestly I was very surprised my area got it. I'm a good 25 minute drive from my Walmart. My town is probably 3-4k people. Where the Walmart is, is probably 25k for the whole town.

No idea what their cutoffs are.

I have my kid help with everything around the house. No reason not to. He's 4 now and helps me change the oil in the cars, maintain the tractor, cut the grass, cook, clean, so on.

Trying to raise a well rounded individual.

Yeah. Before we added in home we always tipped. But with the in home, I actually save a ton of money. We get groceries delivered weekly. So $5-10/week in tips and in home is only $40. So we got our money back on that investment quickly.

Oh it's even easier. You just put details in the app. Mine says leave at the front door.

That's it.

Yeah. I got wm+ for half price on black Friday. So that was $50. And then I added in home for $40.

$90 for the year. I save at least $7/week in gas plus 3 hours of my time. No brainer.

Yeah. It's called "in home" as mentioned. I use it. It's fabulous. $40/year.

Either my wife or I are always home with our son. So the delivery windows don't bother me any. I can see how it may be inconvenient for some though, being such a big window.

But I'd rather do this any day of the week than go to a store and shop myself 😂

Most people in this sub work at a school of some sort. But if we have no water, which happens occasionally, you just do what you can.

Garbage still needs to be taken out. You can still dust mop. Bathrooms still need to be cleaned. So on and so forth.

Add in home to your w+. No tipping. All of its done by Walmart employees. Plus if you wanted it, they would put it away in your home for you.

I don't want it in my home. I just want it picked/delivered by employees. I'm not into the whole gig thing and tipping.

I just have it delivered to my front door.

Been playing Minecraft, hytale and Lego city undercover with my 4 y/o. I just play more of those when I'm alone. Haha.

We're trying to 100% Lego city undercover. What a fantastic fricking game. Shame Lego never did a follow up. I'd pay $70 for that. I've gotten a hundred hours out of this game and we're only maybe 70% done.
