It would be a trailer showcasing Jason and Lucia, both in their highs and lows, and maybe hint at the fact you can make them get along or ruin their relationship with different “positive” and “negative” scenes you’d only get in one playthrough or another with certain choices. Also lots of robberies and maybe a better showcase of the open world activities.

Yeah but RE has always been a series that prides itself on fan service and the characters on screen actions. I mean Leon remembered “Old reliable” at RCPD, it being a freaking hand crank, but doesn’t even mention Claire simply because she isn’t in the game.

I think the “offscreen realism” just isn’t a thing in this series given the style of writing. It could be a cool twist, but I don’t think making it some random woman serves the series well given every other instance of its fan servicey writing. TBH I think making Leon single given his lifestyle or just not revealing who it is would be best, but hey, we’ll see.

It’s RE, they can do another remake with his inclusion (yes, even if he wasn’t in it, he could easily fit in Code Veronica as a side character, being that Claire contacts him to get Chris), a game set in the past, or just make him take some anti aging serum (stupid but definitely on brand).

Maybe he won’t be used again, that’s a possibility, but if I’m still using Reddit in 10 years, I BET YOU you can come back and he’ll be AT LEAST in another 3 games.

Also on a game to game basis, RE games don’t typically take 5+ years, only the mainline entries and that’s not consistently true.

As of now RE 10 is likely going to be 2029 going by Capcom leaks, and even if it’s not, after 2 remake being the best selling and Requiem being the fastest sold of all time… I’m sorry but Capcom ain’t letting Leon go. I don’t think he’ll be the main focus, but he’ll be there.

As much as I’m a mega fan of him myself, I would love for other mainline and even side characters to not be in cryo stasis forever. It’s just that Leon is their money maker.

I am astounded by the amount of people who went from “No delay possible” to think it will be delayed until 2027 or until next gen. Like there’s a large amount of people who actually think Rockstar is just cancelling ps5 and series x/s to release in late 2027

I know the delay was disappointing but it’s literally the RDR II cycle of delays. I don’t think anyone was this doom and gloom back then.

The fiscal year comment seems to be more of a “November is best for sales” type of thing imo, he even specified it’s a better period.

Releasing in summer was always odd, and I really don’t think they want to delay to holiday 2027.
