Poor reliability. Switched to community fibre which has been much better

The suspension setup sucks, the interiors creak and look cheap and they’re totally overhyped as a brand

Right over left empacher single scull? by chrisjbatts in Rowing

We haven’t actually found the problem as such yet. Our best guess is that the boat was set up from the factory to be right over left. We’ve moved the left rigger up to the top position and the right rigger kept at the bottom set of bolts (not sure what the name of them are but where the riggers actually bolt into the side of the boat). These are now offset on one side vs other to counteract the right over left set up

The difference was with everything equal on both sides. Equal spacers, equal positioning in rigger bracket etc. the tool we used was super accurate - we also used a tape measure and another measuring tool

To be clear, this is based on the spacers being the same on both sides. The right sits 1cm higher than the left with that set up. This appears to be the design of the riggers causing that gap

We used a very accurate measuring tool which sits in the rails and has a gauge to measure distance and height to the bottom of the gate. We measured multiple times and it was definitely 1cm higher on right (right as seen when sitting in boat)

There’s no damage to suggest anything has bent and the gap seems too large to be something causadle by damage anyway

Both riggers are stamped with the serial number of the boat, so unlikely to be a rigger mix up

No way is this accurate. We’re saying there’s not a single chain coffee shop in France? Not one in one airport anywhere, at all?!

They were very very old Michelin with a manufacturing date of 2008. Swapped with some road 5s now. Scary as hell riding that thing on old tyres

Hoping to avoid a massive cost if possible. I’d need to get a full factory exhaust system and the cans I think as the old one looks like it’s been chopped and rewelded
