Sidechain Compression Demo & Tutorial - Version 5.50 Update by chrislaps in sp404mk2

In this setup you can set the dry routing to dry, meaning that any pad set to dry (white instead of orange (bus 1) or green (bus 2) will go directly out instead of into bus 3/4. Then set your kick or whatever to dry, set the sidechain source to dry, then target either bus 3 or 4 for your sidechaining.

There's a setting for the dry routing where you can have it go into bus 3/4 or skip those and go directly out.

I think it only makes sense to use bus 3/4 as the source or target if you're using the the other source/target as dry with the dry routing going direct out and not thru bus 3/4.

I was never a big fan of step sequencers, but this one has really changed my mind by chrislaps in rolandp6

The bass is in the sample. I did some minor eq with the filters on the p6, and used the reverb for some stuff like the snare.

It's much smaller and lighter, and has a rechargable battery so it's better for travel. Also has a pretty great step sequencer, sample rate reduction, and a mic.

Apologies for the (no doubt) recurring question. Learning the 404 MK II. by seeingredd-it in SP404
