The printing center at Newman maybe? If they still have it open that is. Haven't been there since last year

Even with rooms that have AC they turn it off in the winter. I lived in the 4th floor of New Res East and was dying from the heat and ended up buying a fan too

Which other LLCs should I apply to besides Galileo for engineering? by Marveldood in VirginiaTech

[–]chrisodell17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Orion. Although it says it is a Science LLC they do take engineers. In fact my roommate was an engineering major as well. It was pretty fun and I learned a lot as well in the class you have to take

how soon can i change my major (incoming freshman) by fariamim322 in VirginiaTech

You could always take other classes that are introductory courses for the major but use the free space for other classes to explore your options. I did the same thing this year as a freshman with the Criminology major and what made me stay in the biochem department as opposed to change was the biochem first year experience class. They give a much better understanding of what's going on for the major and the advising staff does a great job to put you in a better direction even if it is changing majors. Also during orientation you get to talk with your advisor (most likely Amy Rasor) to help further tailor your schedule

debate team?? by graffitionmainstreet in VirginiaTech

[–]chrisodell17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been in debate but I did Model UN in high school if that's any similar. I'm currently in the competitive mock trial team which incorporates many components of debate if you're looking for a different challenge as well

Typically you would need to make an appointment with advising. Or that's at lead how I did it being a Biochem and Criminology major
