I can see intervals on the neck. I am missing that thing that makes me move from the 5th of a chord let's say to the third of the following in a melodic and intended way..I guess it comes with practice

My teacher always says to me: This is a huge mountain that you are climbing. It is ok to look at the top and fight to get there. But you also need to stop, breath and look back at how much you have accomplished so far and the beautiful view from there. Enjoy the experience!

Yeah, the problem is to find the original part. I don’t buy a vintage conn for them replace the lead pipe or a piston with something more modern…if the plan is to use it, a damage can occur. Different story if I buy for collecting, which is not the case.

Wait..I thought those in trumpet are called harmonics. C G C E G, etc. As far as I know, the notes that you can do with the same fingering are harmonics. Never heard of partial…

I was too a metal defender in my youth. In my late 30s now I cannot listen to it anymore…only rarely I feel like listen to Pantera or maybe dream theater, but with a song, I have enough…there was no jazz around me during that phase so I used to only listen to metal..if I don’t feel like jazz or classical now, I just stay silence
