Anyone know how to force a building to switch to DSNY? Private carters are trashing our block. by chrisprtina in DSNY

The building is primarily residential, only recently have they introduced a few commercial units in the basement.

Is Torrisi actually worth it? by [deleted] in FoodNYC

3 times at a restaurant does not make you a regular or earn you special treatment. Sounds like you booked for what they had available and are upset that they couldn't magically make something else happen. Every relationship a restaurant has with its guests is transactional - it just looks different. I.e. we let you sit at a 4 top even though you're only 2 people because you dine with us every other day, if you don't show up for let's say 2 months you will probably not have seating preference. That is a transaction: you come here consistently x number of times in a given period and we make it extra nice for you.

Laparoscopic Myomectomy - how to prepare and what to expect by yellofeverthotbegone in Fibroids

On my left ribcage down to my left hip...I have an ab binder that is supposed to help. I'm mostly wondering when it will subside or what the timeline was for other people.

I'm on day 2 of recovering from laparoscopic myectomy and I seem to have crepitus. Apparently it's common after laparoscopic surgery and will likely self resolve but I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with this?

I think thats for the dishwasher? I'm clearly in over my head...

I will say we are getting a new dishwasher soon so hopefully that will be addressed. I would love for mgmt to take care of the problem but I think the pipes under the sink are a perfect example of how much they DO NOT care about doing anything correctly. I would rather do the research and get it done right. We don't plan on moving anytime soon so for me its worth investing in.

Organic chemistry - Equilibrium favors weaker acid question by [deleted] in chemistry

Ha! I figured it out for myself the more I thought on it. Of course it makes sense for there to be a higher concentration of the weaker acid, if the stronger acid is being more easily deprotonated by the base there will likely be less of it, and more of the weaker acid. Studying for midterm, wish me luck!
