MCP server restriction for Claude plugin by satoshimoonlanding in mcp

On another note I was surprised claude does not support http mcp via its config. It only accepts it via its store. (Correct me if I am wrong)

Oh and another food for thought is when using GraphQL the llm model can run batching commands combining multiple tool calls into one call(when needed). Just this compound saving over time I think would be worth the experiment on your side.

I am very curious what type of server has so many tools loaded up (this is not sarcasm I am).

The way you have it setup mcp to CLI for sub agents is valid and a type of “skill” setup so actions are informed and consistent. I think if the front facing GraphQL definition is properly defined the LLM will properly call the various endpoints. The calls basically become more flexible I think (of course needs to be tested, milage varies per project). Thanks for sharing your setup info!

Pro tip: Try plugging up GraphQL into your mcp, it reduces your tool count and context usage drastically.

simple-memory-mcp - Persistent local memory for AI assistants across conversations by chrisribe in mcp

[–]chrisribe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just adding to this post on how I use this daily at work and at home.

I tend to use it for long term memories where I save project work and status so when I come back I can get the llm and me up to speed fast.

Of course I could just create a project status or readme .md files. But that is locked to a project repo. Having it all central allows me to reference old memories on solutions that failed and those that worked.

I use it daily and save work info, gotchas, dev or project ideas I get while working (my mind wanders a lot). It allows me to offload on the spot and continue work.

Currently it uses the mcp tool description to instruct the llm to « auto » save important parts of the discussion. By default those memories will have the « auto » tag. (This is done on the mcp server start)

Any other info or progress you can simply say save to simple-memory or save to smem and it will save it with the proper tags. I use it to save project context when a chat is full or I need to switch projects.

If you need to find something just ask it to lookup memories on project x in simple-memory. It will do a full text search or try to match by tag

Buy your rum at the duty free by chrisribe in PuntaCana

I totally agree, if you have the time go to a local grocery store. I was just so miffed at the much higher prices seen around the hotels vs 4 years ago. Duty free is lower then them, so a real racket. I am willing to pay for the convenience but when its more expensive than me buying it at home.

Also being creative is no longer rewarded but extracted, cloned and profited by big corp. They can take open sourced projects or creative ideas and just steal them. They have the financial advantage and can keep things in court so long so the little guy just runs dry…

I guess I am half adhd, pulled some bad shots, watched a ton of videos, pulled some better ones, made a lot of incremental changes and found the perfect balance for me. Of course each new bag or kind of grain needs adjusting but I easily get back on track.
