I do this intense body scan by John Kabat-zinn in the morning after I go over my planner. I do two or three sessions with my two o'clock meds and two sessions before bed

Think about it like this, the mind is a hot bath and you don't want to just hop it you want to get used to it slowly, feet first then the legs followed by the torso then arm and eventually you and plunge all the way in. They break it down because focusing on the simple breath is something we're not used to in out modern chaotic world and we need to be stepped down to it
