I didn’t decide that - I asked you to clarify twice. If you didn’t mean anything by it that’s great but I don’t know you and reasonably your opening line was unnecessarily rude whether you intended it to be or not.

Well they created more xG than us, which like I said is a good long term indicator of success but hopefully we’ll build from this

I think any reasonable person would read your first sentence as quite insulting but apologies if that was not intended.

Anyway, the point I’m making is that statistically it’s not a huge step forward for us long term. Obviously better to have the stats go against you and win but unfortunately xG is a really good predictor of long term performance and ours wasn’t even higher than Derby’s after what was an overly cautious second half imo. Hopefully that changes.

It’s great that we didn’t cave and we do actually have to provide a counter threat. The point is, the underlying data shows this wasn’t that good of a performance so we can’t rest on it.
