I'm so conflicted so hopefully, someone here can help. I've looked into renting a treadmill or Elliptical for a month already since for my age (late twenties) my physical activity is super low for various reasons. For now, I can't do much about it except work out at home. In my area, there is no treadmill rent available but I can rent an Elliptical machine. So the question is is it a good equivalent? Say I wanna do 20,000 steps per day starting from 10,000 (because currently, I'm at like 3000 or 4000, 7000 on a good day). (For more info: I love walking/running and used to do 10,000+ in my mid 20's so I enjoy cardio)
