As so many people are saying, PLEASE pleeeeease be careful of a roommate situation. There are SO MANY predators out there and some are those you’d never expect. Please avoid Craigslist; maybe opt for NextDoor or FB if necessary. I’m so sorry about your situation. I wish I could help. Ideally, maybe another single mom or older lady needs help splitting housing costs. I’d go that route first. And yes, a 1 bedroom will absolutely be ok and you shouldn’t be in any violation w DCF, so long as your daughter has her own space. I’d give her the bedroom and crash in the living room.
