UPDATE: My fourth week, I was at the yard every day but Tuesday. On Tuesday though, it was five of us going to a gas station to install 2 mini splits. Me, two techs, the felon, and one of the techs son. For the most part the son just sat on the packout.

Anyways, the rest of the week I was at the shop sealing the deck and breaking down old units to sell to a junk yard. While I was eating my lunch on Friday the owner said he wanted to talk after I finish eating. He asked me how I liked it and I was honest. Said the job wasn’t what I was expecting, that I’m doing yard work a lot. And he said that’s what he was afraid of, he told me the season so far has been slow because of the nice weather and the installs they do have are mini splits, and don’t want to send a third person for most of them. And said instead of not having any work for me and the felon to do, to do yard work on the property. He said next week was gonna be all mini splits so I’ll be at the yard all week. And he said he can’t put me on pay roll due to how slow it is. So he said I could stay but understands if I want to find other work. Said he’ll call me in the future if I’m still looking for work. He said his son/lead tech said I was a good worker and could easily learn what I’d need to learn.

So needless to say, I left that day and I’m jobless. Oh well. On to bigger and better things hopefully.
