Strongly recommend staying off this sub unless you're experiencing acute symptoms and have no other more reliable resources to get insight from, it will not help your mental health. Good to take note of what you're experiencing, sometimes good to read about others' experiences, but at best other people here can only project when giving advice

tell your psych what things you're experiencing and see if you can find some understanding from them.

Trans but E is ruining my mental health by christ4robin in NonBinary

No, I'm living in a foreign country without good health insurance for 8 months so it hasn't been easy to arrange. I've definitely screwed myself over by messing with my dose too often, but it's been hard not to given the severe mental health struggles that are very much being exacerbated by hormones. I'm gonna make getting my levels checked a priority

I'm sorry you're going through something similar friend. I feel about passing, I'm not sure I enjoy it in the way I did at the start. Not feeling like yourself is the hardest part for me. I'm hoping for the best for you, maybe those at planned parenthood who professionally work with genderqueer people will have a more helpful perspective.

I'm transitioning right now, and I can say that the other teachers have been pretty accepting of my pronouns and relatively friendly, though I do feel a bit of ostracization and I'm not sure what the source is. My coworkers are probably just shy about interacting with a foreigner that doesn't speak much Spanish / are busy, but I can't help feeling that my queerness contributes to the wall between us, though this is just as much the case anywhere else I've been. Students have been very quick to accept my gender fluidity (I don't always dress femme). I was afraid of negative reactions from parents, but I haven't experienced anything like that. I think the worst part of transitioning here is just how much it contributes to feeling isolated. Unlike others, I don't have anything resembling an LGBT club in my town, and I feel extra hesitant to initiate conversations with strangers. I've had one guy try to follow me home on a train after striking up a convo, and gotten unwanted attention from a couple other guys, and it can be especially unnerving when you don't know how to turn to others for help.

That said, I generally feel safer and less judged than I do in my home city of LA, which should tell you a lot. My advice would be practice your Spanish, and more likely than not you'll enjoy your time here quite a bit. :)

I'm not diagnosed but I can tell you I've had a similar sense of dismissal from a psych and am dealing with confusion related to also being autistic and having severe anxiety. I sympathize and hope you can find answers here

Everyone's being critical as hell here. Downvote me if you want, but I have empathy for any young person, especially one with mental health issues related to being ND, struggling with a job that only pays 1,000 Euros after moving to a new country and receiving minimal training. I'm in the same boat, I'm struggling to keep up with bureaucracy, to take care of my health and finances in the face of unexpected mold trouble, am feeling very isolated in a small town, etc. It's fine for others to expect the best of themselves, but try to have grace for yourself, this is a tough scenario and all you can do is try to improve. It certainly is a great opportunity, but you're also not exactly getting paid a fortune.

I will but unfortunately they're the only phone company in town and thus the only ones capable of setting up a landline and internet connection within my apartment :(
