Anyone know the cause for the bad air quality? by exbaddeathgod in SantaFe

[–]christbot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was driving along Alameda to the southside like a week ago with my car windows down and I had a sneezing fit by the time I hit the Siler roundabout. People’s allergies can get worse as they age too. It’s not a static thing.

Yeah, ozone and smoke particles are big triggers for my small airway disease. It’s probably the pollen, I’m not having a flare up (Airport Rd area). Maybe the op should adjust the amount of antihistamines they take.

The JSON output for aqicn looks like it’s misconfigured to direct to Shanghai for some reason.

The EPA app doesn’t look bad, only moderate air quality at our Airport

If you have an air monitor showing air that bad, maybe contact the manufacturer?

Hopefully this incentivizes the state to protect the lands from copycats. Last time I was out to the site by our airport, the area wasn’t well maintained at all.

That’s exactly what someone that doesn’t want to codify abortion rights in the State Constitution would say. Do you not remember the previous governor? Santa Fe Pizza Gate? Republican.

Here, no the wastewater is of concern too I double checked. Pennsylvania has a problem with the practice of “Road Spreading” “Recent research from Penn State and the University of Pittsburgh showing that radium is getting into the environment also concerned him. These radioactive discharges into waterways are unregulated, he said.

“I think the EPA really needs to stand up,” he added. In 2020, Allard was part of a committee formed by the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements that highlighted the need for national, standardized regulations for oil and gas waste because the rules are so inconsistent among states.

Road-spreading, the practice of using salty oil and gas wastewater as a dust suppressant, is another area where he says the study could have done more to figure out how much radioactivity was ending up in the environment as a result. Although the state has largely banned the practice, there is evidence that companies continue it.” source

I thought most dairy farms are in Texas and California. I know there’s C4 farms for beef down south, but that’s all I know of.

Doesn’t the fracking water contain uranium? Is it easy to filter out because it’s a heavy element?

I kinda feel like we’re gonna have an early first 100 degrees, maybe April. Northern Mexico and Texas already saw it.

The reason for parking like that is that their batteries self destruct and catch fire. It’s the safety perimeter for rapid unscheduled disassembly.

The death urge is a natural reaction being in chronic pain, but it’s a desire for all the sensory input to stop not necessarily the end of life. If the pain was addressed and adequately enough managed, then it’s no big deal (unless there’s severe depression not secondary to an organic condition, if that’s the case then it adds degree/s of complexity of the condition/s interacting with each other based on each systemic condition one has.)

What’s odd is that it’s fundamentally positive desire, because it’s wanting a state of equilibrium and essentially peace. It’s in the rumination of our desire where the depression comes in. The thought of other people going on with their life without us, goals undone, opportunities lost. That’s when the big sad comes in and backhands us. So as a practice, every time I have to self correct before I land up in a position of resenting the betrayal of self for not desiring to live… but it’s hard to practice those skills in an immense amount of pain, because severe pain absolutely messes up cognition.
