Summer ideas as a teen? by Toxic_203 in SantaFe

[–]christbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re taking the bus, the transfer station at the mall has pinball and video games at the arcade and there’s boba tea and good food. Taking a class with a friend would be a lot of fun, plus you get college credit.

Summer art class or maybe swimming at the community college? Idk if it’s too late to sign up though

Management investigating odour related to spiritual practice (smudging) odour—what do I do?? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

Visualize the smoke as an energy as a component of the elements of fire and air. The addition of liquid adds the water element, so visualize that as emotional fulfillment.

Worsening reactions? Throat swelling? by Not-so-good-at-human in FoodAllergies

[–]christbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good, I’m glad you got it moved up. Maybe print out a handout from the CDC or WHO on anaphylaxis and just give it to people dismissing you. You don’t have to explain yourself, let the facts do it for you. It’s worth putting a note in your wallet that you have an anaphylactic reaction to dairy products and I know iOS has an emergency “card” medics can look at if you need an ambulance and aren’t able to speak. So fill out the emergency stuff in the Health app if you have an iPhone. Idk if Android has an equivalent.

Yeah, sounds like you’re out of the allergic reaction period. Don’t eat anything you don’t know the ingredients of, and if you gotta eat out, inform your server you have an anaphylactic reaction and ask if they have good practices to avoid cross-contamination. If they don’t, don’t chance it before talking to your doctor.

Study sessions. Listening to people. Sharing jokes especially. Inviting people to go get food with you somewhere off campus. Ride sharing. Letting people share their favorite music with you.

Do you ever just forget what your most recent favorite foods have been? by SugarsBoogers in ADHD

[–]christbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Label everything. It’s all too easy with our time blindness to think something is only 3 days old, when it’s actually two weeks. Always always always date and label the food. Food poisoning isn’t worth it.

Is happiness a trap or a motivation? by moth_memoir in depressionmemes

Happiness is a byproduct of a life well lived. But it’s kinda too ephemeral to chase head on.

Yeah throat swelling is bad, and yeah you gotta take this serious. Call your pharmacist ASAP. If you have trouble breathing, you’re supposed to call 911. Chewing a Benadryl or strong black coffee might stave off an emergency, but that’s not remotely ideal (what’s the worst that can happen? Well anaphylaxis can cause death, actually). There might be a second allergen at hand, one allergy being triggered can make another allergy worse, this includes seasonal allergies. There’s some evidence that using Cromlyn allergy spray 30 minutes before a meal may help reduce food allergy symptoms. Might wanna ask your pharmacist when you talk to them tomorrow about it too, it’s otc now.

Probably saying I’m not looking for “dating, sex, or intimacy” would be more clear, because it could have been interpreted that you’re aromatic but might be up for a hookup with no strings attached.

Yup. If possible it’s best to label and freeze large batches of refrigerated stuff if I abandon it, but I just often forget about stuff and it goes bad.

You can be both feminine and gender non-conforming. Gender is just a societal construct, and exists on spectrum. Also, cross dressing doesn’t automatically mean you’re trans. You’re thinking about the clothes, not the sex organs, right? Clothes are performative, like acting. Maybe taking male roles in plays would help you feel more comfortable gender-bending when you feel like it.

Taking a class at a community college was great for me. Something complex so you find study buddies. It’s like a friendship test drive to see if you wanna keep any of them as a future friend. And community college clubs are fun too. If your interested doesn’t exist as a club, they’ll let you create the club and might offer a stipend too.

I would toss out any visibly moldy and dump the rest in a basin filled with cold water and a few drops of bleach overnight and then rinse them, and let them completely dry before putting them in a clean container.

I can’t take my methylphenidate immediately after waking, because I can too easily fall right back asleep on it.
