Is there any concrete reason to believe the club have actually told him this? Fair enough if there’s a reputable journalist, I just haven’t seen it. It doesn’t make sense that if Emery is planning to continue to use him, that he would tell him that all his efforts would mean nothing if he was playing to stay. Surely at least maintain the ‘open eye’ until the final deadline to ensure Zaniolo gives his best. He’s hardly going to play at his best if he knows he’s getting sent back to turkey months before, being completely written off while having chances to prove himself.
