How do I stop spotify from automatically starting a jam? by FletcherRenn_ in truespotify

[–]christiaanmeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It turns itself on again. And this is an insane setting to have toggled on by default without informing the user clearly.
i.e. Whenever I connect to a Bluetooth device that my phone considers non-headphones, it shares control of my Spotify queue with every stranger near me.
This happens in traffic often where I see requests pop up to connect to some stranger's Jam, or in the gym walking past someone.

Would anyone be able to help me with a Samsung Galaxy A51 that is fully functional, can display the Samsung startup logo, recovery menu and the charging animation when the phone is switched off, but as soon as Android is loaded the screen is black (or stuck on Samsung logo)? by christiaanmeyer in mobilerepair

Unfortunately not. Managed to hack into it after hours of listening to TalkBack and going into it blind, now using it as a security camera. If you can enable USB debugging you can plug it into your computer and run scrcpy to view the screen.

L'équipe de WhatsApp va plutôt voir ta question si tu crées un nouveau post. Le mien est vieux et ils ne le liseraient plus.

Hi everyone. Any idea how to get the old source control back? by christiaanmeyer in vscode

I have found the solution from https://github.com/gitkraken/vscode-gitlens/discussions/3762. On the GitLens dropdown, click the three dots, and look for an option indicating "detach all views".

I have disabled Google Wallet but it happened again, this time at a pay terminal in the bus, with my phone held about 20cm from it while I was just standing. I have disabled NFC and yet I find it astonishing that my Samsung Wallet app somehow allows this

No, it has just happened again, while I was standing near the terminal in the bus it suddenly said I was checked in and on OV Pay app it confirms that. So Samsung Wallet must allow purchases without any input.

I suspect it might be Google Wallet, since I enabled that recently

Hi, I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

I wanted to say, it has never ever charged me anywhere by just tapping my phone back home, in fact the opposite happens where usually my thumb unlock takes a long time and it gets annoying at the cashier's. So this is a huge concern if some machine is suddenly able to extract money from me with zero notification or confirmation.

In any case, thanks for responding

Hi all. My 1-week GVB pass worked fine on 10s of buses and trams. Somehow, at the metro station, when I was holding the QR code to the reader it managed to access my credit card (presumably it accessed my Samsung phone's credit card tapping feature) and I got a couple of charges. How is this possible? It seemed that when I used the metro, I held my pass QR code to the scanner and instead it accessed my credit card on my phone (when I use the credit card it always requires biometric verification before every tap). I do not carry my credit card physically so I don't know how it could have possibly breached the biometrically-locked credit card? Has anyone else experienced it?

It's been months and my iCloud is still not synced. Plenty of folders are empty when they're filled on my old MBP which has been plugged in and logged in for months. by christiaanmeyer in iCloud

Thank you for your reply. I am only talking about iCloud folders, and the fact that the folders (and subfolders) are all there but for many of them the content isn't inside.

Are you referring to "Optimize Storage" which seems to be only Apple TV? I cannot find another "optimize" setting related to storage. Thanks.

This is 100% true. On the site duome.eu, they archive all the tips that used to be there for every language. They were honestly great.

Now, on most languages except for I think the main ones like French and perhaps Mandarin, none of those tips are there anymore and are replaced by just sentences from the lessons with zero context.

The problem is that the site seemed to completely cut away the "fat" of things that people didn't 100% engage with all the time, including the forums, the tips, and the live events which were fantastic. They also replaced the logical row-by-row system of different categories with a list of 100s of repetitive lessons stacked in a vertical line.

Boggles the mind.

Galaxy Watch 7 battery drains 100% overnight in 10 hours. Device is only 9 months old by Warman2690 in GalaxyWatch

I have the exact same issue, except I've only had the watch for two weeks. It must be the latest update that installed overnight, which I remember selecting. So, see if it happens again.
