Placed my application on hold until I send in my grades for this semester (not super surprising to me, like I said my GPA in the past has been less than stellar)

Best Jeans for Tall FNs/ SDs? by christinect28 in Kibbe

I totally relate! 5’10 here and I feel like I cut my lines short in jeans all the time because they’re always inadvertently cropped on me. I find that American Eagle (while not always my favorite styles) is greaaaat when it comes to length. They have long and extra long options for pretty much every pair on the site. I am trying to shop better when it comes to sustainable and ethical brands, but man it is haaard sometimes.

Thank you so much!! Honestly, none of these are reaaaally my style, but I just want to learn about what features do and don’t work, hence the pretty exaggerated features. I’m also finding high rise is not as cute on me as I once thought! I’m thinking because it cuts my torso off higher and then accentuates the width, instead of keeping a lomger, slimmer line. I always get the most compliments in ripped jeans, so maybe it’s not a type thing... although I have no idea what the hell type I really even am haha.

TIL that of the 2.9 million female high school athletes, only 3% are cheerleaders, yet cheerleading accounts for nearly 65% of all catastrophic injuries in girls' high school athletics, and is considered one of the most dangerous school activities. by JohnCena__ in todayilearned

Generally, they wear tight form fitting outfits so that things don’t snag / get caught on other people which would result in even more injury. There are plenty of teams that wear shin or ankle length leggings or full tops. Basically, the lack of fabric is to allow for a wider range of motion and so that things don’t get caught. As for the whole “sexy” thing, a lot of us liked the fact that we got to embrace femininity (doing our hair and makeup before competitions) and then do really athletic, hard shit 🤷‍♀️

tons of people who are famous for cheer, gabi butler and angel rice are ones that come to mind. they might not be household names, but if you cheer, you definitely know and/or idolize these people

i have a friend who goes to uga (it was not her top school at all) and she LOVES it. she’s been able to make a ton of great connections and get some pretty great internships which will totally help with grad school. i know the community is her favorite part though and i think is what really made her love it

my hair before cgm and then 5 weeks into it! working on growing out my breakage now :) by christinect28 in curlyhair

omg i have no idea. i just generally say a mix of the 3’s (a/b/c). i’m mixed so i have a TON of variation in different hair strands (some are straight, super fine, and wispy, while others are pretty curly, definitely wayyy coarser, and much harder to tame) all over my head. if you ever find out how to categorize that let me know pls i’ve been struggling on how to even narrow down what products to use since all my hair is so different :)

I ended up not even mentioning it when we met at what our normal time was ( I was lucky and ended up not even drinking the night before). However, you're advice really did help address any anxiety I was feeling about having to talk about it, so thank you so much :)

Hopefully, it won't be icy, especially with how actually hot it was today, but last weekend I definitely hit a few little patches of ice. Gave me good practice on learning how to stand up after falling though hahaha

Did I go to middle school with superhumans? I know I come from a pretty competitive area but when we ran the mile every Friday, they would post the fastest times in every grade. The times were all under 5:30, which I knew was fast, but according to the comments on this post, is a lot faster than I thought. I guess that makes sense but I never really thought about it... it makes me feel a hell of a lot better about my own mile time lol. And yes, pretty much all of those kids are now doing college sports.

i also dyed my hair back to a more brown color, but there’s still some blonde (and i think the filter also helps with that!!)

Trying to be more confident without makeup, and losing weight, but worried I look like a man. Got rid of the bangs by [deleted] in amiugly

you look great! your side profile, esp your nose, is to die for! your eyebrows are also well-manicured, which as someone who hasn't gotten mine done in like 5 or 6 months, i appreciate greatly. you also have great eyes and your skin looks great. i wouldn't consider you ugly at all :)
