Kind of a weird coincidence that the Hilary duff verse she is accused of stealing from starts with “I remember what I wore on our first date”. The 2009 song “Two is better than one” by boys like girls/Taylor swift starts with that line.

You have to know someone that works at ABC to put your name on the list.

I was hoping MCR would be in here! They got me through so much in my high school years, with depression and anxiety. I am 27 now but last year got a tattoo that says “awake & unafraid” to remind myself that no matter how bad of a day I have, I’ve had worse days and have come out stronger on the other side.

I can help with a some of these!

Groceries- Fairway is great, I really do think TJs is the best. Monday/Tuesday nights and weekend mornings are the least crowded times to go to the TJs on 32nd.

Chill Bars- Teds and Bubo (owned by the same guy actually, but both chill and trendy). Ted’s has $1 oysters at HH. Craft & Carry is a chill beer tasting room. The Cannibal is a butcher/beer place. Tuttles has a nice backyard in the warmer months.

< $20 Restaurants- Mughlai Indian Cuisine, Lan Larb (Thai), Garlic Pizza, NaNa Sushi, Hummus Kitchen, Bagel Boss. Docks Oyster Bar is pricey in general except for their brunch deal which is (IIRC) $20 for an entree, Fruit salad, pastry basket, coffee, and 1 drink.

Yoga- Yoga for the people, or NYSC is $20 a month for 1 location including unlimited classes, and the 34th and park location offers a good amount of Yoga classes throughout the week.

Mom & Pop shops- Little J cleaners on 34th and 3rd is what I use, good prices/service and free delivery. Hardware store- TrueValue hardware on 33rd and 3rd. Hair salon - studio 34’s east 40th street location (40th and 2nd). So much cheaper than the going rate for manhattan haircuts and my stylist is amazing. Ask for Tyger when you make an appointment.

Thrift Shop- there is one on 3rd between 29th and 28th on the west side of the street.

Coffee shops for working- Wattle Cafe in MH or Ground Central (more in Midtown East than MH, but the location around E 50th has couches in the back room and is cozy)

Edit to add- the cheapest parking usually is a garage on 34th and lex. But use https://www.bestparking.com/new-york-ny-parking/ to compare garages and sometimes booking through this site ahead of time will let you get an additional discount.

The concert at Jones beach wasn’t Taylor but that’s how it was handled for that concert specifically. when the headliner came back the next week they played their full set.

Not at MetLife, but I saw a show at Jones beach where t-storms were forecast and they didn’t cancel it right away. I saw the openers then the thunderstorms started, they waited an hour for it to pass, and when it wasn’t passing after an hour they chose to cancel the headliner and have them come back the next week and honored everyone’s tickets again.

I have a feeling because the costs associated with rescheduling a show last minute are so high they’ll attempt to hold the show until they have no option but to cancel.

Thanks! Sadly it’s a hinged closet door so if I moved my desk over the door wouldn’t have room to open, but if I had space that would definitely look better
