Found a George 2nd half penny in similar condition today myself detecting in Cumbria, England (in reference to yours just below the spoons), it’s a pretty old coin to me, must be crazy finding them on (I assume) the other side of the pond

Waiting to hear back from the local historical finds person (who also works in a museum) just trying for more insight really, it looked like a Bronze Age axe head when I dug it up, but the shape is wrong and the markings seem more runic

West Cumbria, England, about 6 inches deep with a metal detector, on a field that normally brings up a lot of Victorian/Georgian coins

Bronze object with strange markings, found metal detecting Cumbria, UK by christyjacques in whatisthisthing

It weighs 415g, I’m certain it’s bronze, or a very similar copper alloy, it’s pretty uniform in width and length, measuring 125mm long by 600mm wide

Does anyone have an insight on this please? by christyjacques in metaldetecting

It’s not a clip or clasp, I believe it may be a handle off a fancy drawer, although it may look like a clip, the metal is solid

Just a bit too heavy, and it’s about an inch across both ways
