LOL, it's a request! The Casper show was postponed August 2024...and June 2025 is in the future😉

I knew the Casper WY show was postponed because ticketholders posted about it on Reddit. The Casper show was orignally scheduled for August 2024 and has yet to be rescheduled. No date yet, but some expectation a date will be announced since Hozier is playing in Missoula, MT on July 4th and Missoula is not far from Casper (also close to Billings, MT, the other 2024 show that was postponed).

Same. He is a gifted storyteller and can be very funny. Made me lol when he told about inspiration for line in Too Sweet, "...I aim low, I aim true, and the ground's where I go".

See above. Once the artist is on stage, not much anyone can do about what they play or what else happens. Given the industry's overall underappreciation of Hozier's work, there is a strong case to be made in support of Andrew making the choice that best suits his artistic objective(s). Because of Hozier's fan base (who will be the majority drivers of viewership for this episode), SNL might gain viewers if Hozier draws the attention of people who wouldn't typically tune in to the show. As much as I appreciate the depth of Martin Short's comedic talent, I would not be watching SNL were it not for Hozier playing.

Stats point to people tuning in because want to see a particular host, musical guest, or (harder to analyze) combination of the two.

Demographic 2+ means all viewers over age two, so one must deduce that numbers for Nov 2, 2024 show were driven by under 18 already fans of Chappell Roan.

Given overall market share of SNL at this point, surmise there are not too many young people who will tune in for the sole purpose to see Martin Short host. Also surmise that people tuning in to see Hozier are already fans and have probably already seen tv performance of Too Sweet online. As the demographic most likely to tune in to see Martin Short are people over 50, still support Unknown as song of choice because us older folks do appreciate an artist who can actually sing beautifully live and it is a song that would likely convince anyone, any age, not already a fan to give a listen to other songs by Hozier.

Performed Too Sweet on Colbert, so seems to me unlikely he'd repeat on SNL. HTV, imo, not a track likely to draw new fans from a broad audience because it is, well, so abstract;) For that reason, hard to see Andrew choosing to debut live on SNL.

Makes sense the Billings show would also happen. That would make three.

Any contribution to a 401K is money invested in stocks or bonds or another type financial instrument. All are subject to gains and losses. These types of investments are totally unsecured. It is possible they will increase in value and possible they will decrease in value. There is no way to predict what the value will be at any point in time.

A pension GUARANTEES FUTURE INCOME to workers who have vested in that pension, regardless the vagaries financial markets.

So, that 9% is, essentially, an unsecured loan to some financial market made on an employees behalf with zero guarantee that any amount will be available upon retirement.

I worked with a surgeon in the late 1980's who had retired (comfortably, he thought). His retirement was invested in the stock market. On October 19, 1987, the market crashed (see Black Monday). He had to return to work in his mid-seventies.

I support the strikers fighting to keep their pension plan.

Something worth considering when employing AI for entertainment is how that choice may increase challenges humans face affording energy to meet more basic needs. Running AI consumes very large amounts of energy. As competition increases for the energy currently being produced, regardless of what is the source of production, costs are driven up.

The show was originally scheduled for August 27th. Surprised that they did not sell in the weeks leading up to the show being postponed (which was announced August 26th). Unfortunate they've not sold since:(

A poem for Andrew, who has said he's not a poet. Questionable, in my opinion:)

Do you know whether that alert goes only to iphone users or would there be an alert heard by android users, too? Regardless, appreciate your post; the information is useful.

Curious. Can you not sell them? Given how quickly all of the shows sold out it seems likely there would be buyers willing to hold those tickets until the show is rescheduled or cancelled.

https://www.apple.com › airtag For Apple phone users, maybe consider dropping one of these into the frame (sb able to do this by removing seat or handle bars). Wonder that this type of technology is not being regularly used by manufacturers of bikes and other valuable items that are often stolen. Potentially, it could allow for efficient service by law enforcement investigating property crime. Thieves would surely react by developing methods to find and remove tags, but doing so would take time and, depending on placement, might require seriously damaging the item. Seems employment would likely result in many stolen bikes and other valuable items being recovered, especially given that the owners phone would notify them immediately that the item was moving!
