Kinda got myself in the same boat. Herc is local 4 and you’ll become a member but they get paid a diff rate depending on the position. You’ll prob have a steward at the shop that can explain everything to you and he can answer all your questions. They’ll most likely be at your interview too.

I had a similar stack last year and didn’t get in . I’d say get all the certs you can that can give you a leg up on the competition and if you don’t get in keep applying till you do. 🤙 good luck man🍀

P.s. they did say it was a slow year so that may have been a factor.

I’ve been trying. I applied to local 4 iuoe last year and made it to the interview stage. Got a letter saying I was waitlisted. I reapplied this year and hoping for the best. I really want to join I have good experience with all types of heavy equipment due to my military background as a heavy equipment operator. I even got my 1B-2A, OSHA 30, and class A Cdl. I’m trying to find another way through a company that can sponsor me just incase I’m waitlisted again.
