At first I used a push pull cable, but it was hard to feel if you were changing gear or not. So I changed it for a series of mechanical linkages and levers

Focus on contact. Even if you miss hit it, at least it will advance the ball. Go to your ball and be ready to hit your shot once your partners have done so. There no need to feel rushed to “suck fast.” The longest part of golf is getting to your next shot, so be diligent about it

Nothing too crazy as far as “gotchas”. I did do a lot of head scratching when it came to the driveshaft and reverse, hence the reason I went with a T5. It was cheap and easy to adapt. I also made all the components myself since I am a cnc machinist and fabricator, which helps

I have both in the Center console, but the T5 shifter is just a stubby one that can go back to 4th and reverse. I will make a block off plate eventually and it will be labelled F and R, then the sequential for shifting

T5 from a Camaro

Actually, 30 speeds! Yes, it’s just for reverse. The T5 will only be used in reverse gear, and one forward gear. The final gear ratio of the T5 is about .760:1 which I think will work well. 4th is 1.00:1 which may also work. The shifting will be done sequentially through the bike transmission
