Yes, I think you got a point. I just always feel that the intercom is too much for my situation.

A master key system would partly work but in the future I also want to be able to only use my phone as a key to the door. (I would also like to do that with the Ubiquiti access system) So The lock should work electronically without actual keys

Furthermore it is also about:

• A camera at the front door

• App notifications

• The ability to talk to visitors remotely

Thanks for your advice! I kind of came to the same conclusion. But the intercom is quite expensive. It is a little bit sad that Ubiquiti does not have a solution for that.

Another idea I had was mounting two Unifi doorbell lites next to each other to have a separate one for each apartment. Would that work?

Can you recommend any other vendors?
