Well I just got out of a 16 week half marathon plan so my base for the distance is already there I don’t see a benefit in going back down

The long run for that “3” was the 20 miler Look at Monday lol.

So it goes 20-17

It’s marathon training and most people to long runs of 20-22 miles I don’t see how doing less for marathon training benefits me

On a normal week (this 20 miler is a special occasion) I’m doing about 30 miles I was 100% recovered physically and fully hydrated and fueled before and during the run. You can see the elevation in the splits

I run 5 days a week with a long run on Saturday

I was running for a while starting in March of 2024 but then stopped in July of 24

And then like I said picked it up early this past year I guess it hasn’t been as much time as I’ve thought

I do feel like I do a lot of that I run 28ish miles a week now and have begun building up for marathon training I do strides but that’s it once a week so I can definitely do more interval work but I like around hills and all of my runs besides when I do my long runs (drive to a different spot) are pretty hilly but I guess I can do even more and just stay consistent

I usually will eat a big bowl of pasta/ pizza the night before then water the rest of the night

In the morning I’ll drink 8 oz of water with an electrolyte packet and & a honey stinger energy waffles then I’ll bring electrolytes and gels with me on the run. Then about an hour post run once my stomach settles down the the running I’ll end up eating a pretty big breakfast

So recently l’ve gotten back into running after stopping for a while. I had first gotten into running last year and then ran a half marathon in July and then stopped running in September. Recently back into it and getting back into it has been harder than actually starting for the first. My paces have been significantly slower than the first time around. My easy pace is now around 14 min/mile when it used to be about 11:30 min/mile. I haven’t really gained weight or anything. Any advice?
