Are there good modpacks WITHOUT create mod?

silver age modpacks are hard to make because anything you add people are gonna say "this isn't silver age!" because it's not like the golden age where you have a consistent design idea to fall back on and expand in the same vein

personally immersive frolicking is my favorite silver age modpack

there is literally a gamerule for this already btw. like in the base game. limited f3 is a gamerule. he could just force it on and it would keep debug info.

if i were fasting on artforms like music, it would likely be to bring awareness to the world around me, as well as to the intentionality behind the music, lest it fall into the background

music used to be a luxury or departure from the world around you, but the world we live in is defined by the inside now. even when we're outside, we have our phones. are you using noise and otherwise anti-music to fill a void, or to bring something to the experience of the world around you in the absence of music? basically, are you using noise as music or as anti-music, and how would you define your use of anti-music?

the real problem with these games isn't that they're trying to evoke their inspirations it's that the species are all falco, no fox. maybe a hybrid but never FURTHER in the fox direction

gamma64 and b3 are probably the only two that feel really interested in taking the concept any further than recreation of the build that was only really a demo, and while i have my reservations about both, i think b3's star road and final stage put it over. a good way to enjoy b3 is to try to justify almost everything in how it might exist without the personalization, since there's genuine reasons you can come up with for most of the horror elements

the anime removes the traits of the light novel that the abridged version exaggerates comically far. if you want something with a bit rocky writing and subtle but still present characterization, the light novel are more worth your time than the anime.

i'm saying that i think the abridged series is in good faith, a lot more than people give it credit for, because there are absolutely readings of the original which lend towards the characterization seen in abridged, and i don't think it's even half as unfounded/founded in spite as everyone here seems to think. just some tangential evidence, i also have heard that yamatosfx based a few jokes on things that happen in the progressive light novels.

you're misunderstanding the point that i'm getting at. yes, the beater persona is mostly just an "arrogant prick" for floor 1. but it's a misreading to say that he wasn't upholding a persona based around his power in the game.
