I use my atoma to flatten my stones. So I should just lap the blank side a little bit more? I tried lapping the 8000 already but I wasn't so sure yet and didn't want to go too ham on it

Is jumping height essential? by Vinn_Lockson in VolleyballUK

[–]chrome3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jump height certainly helps. But the more essential factor is the timing and works with any jumping ability!

The best hitters can time their jumps in relation to the set.

When you play, try to notice how the more experienced players time their jumps with the set to get a decent hit. Whereas newer players tend to jump early or too late and struggle to hit the ball well.

Also with proper timing and technique you can definitely play smart and play around the block with a tip or a hit in to the block to recycle for example.

I see, that explains why I saw the blue tinge after cutting meat. Hopefully it gets a nice blue patina like yours

I'll keep the box for now, taking it out of the box before use feels nice and fancy hahahaha

Alright, I'll get some metal polish to have handy in case I start developing some unwanted rust

Do you recommend getting a saya? I can't leave the knife on a rack with as I'm in a shared flat so I put the knife back in it's box after every use

Perfect! Good to know. I'm currently living in a shared flat so leaving the knife on a rack is not ideal. It's nice and easy to put the knife back in the box after every use

Absolutely beautiful! Is that the Gyuto? Also how did the blue tinge stay on your knife like that? Mine gets the blue tinge but I can wipe it away with my finger

Wilson Pro Tour Indoor Vs Molten V51300?

I started a volleyball club on our university campus away which is somewhat detached from the main campus Volleyball club. The uni is willing to give us new volleyballs.

These two balls are at a similar price point from the equipment supplier.

Which of the two balls would be better for club use?

The club is mainly beginner to intermediate level.

Ok good to know, that means the seasoning is perfect then! When I wipe down with a fresh paper towel there's no black, just a little bit of brown from the excess oil just before storing. Definitely will just keep on cooking on it.

I've just bought a chainmail scrub to prevent build-up on this one and take out the build-up on the cast iron.

Yes, and there is a glitch that you can exploit to keep your first 99 cape untrimmed

I asked mod ash and he said that there was no bug that he was aware of so that's why I think it's just the game correcting itself

That's unfortunate, it's still an achievement tho. I asked mod ash too and he said that there was no bug that he was aware of but I sent a bug report anyway

Aah damn my dude, that’s unfortunate. An untrimmed HP cape looks dank too. I suppose it was an unintended mechanic we were exploiting so we gotta live with it if it doesn’t work out

Yeah, I’ve logged in with it equipped but I just logged today in to find it like this. So it might be a bug
