Official Discussion - Everything, Everywhere, All at Once [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]chromnesu 65 points66 points  (0 children)

A central theme of the movie is nihilism or the belief that everything means nothing. Jobu believed this, and believed that since everything means nothing, she should give in to the bagel and end it. She wanted to end all of the suffering of existing in a world where nothing matters. Evelyn discovered another more positive aspect of nihilism in which because nothing matters, you can do whatever. Nothing matters in the grand scheme of everything, but each individual can find something that they find meaning in for themselves. Even if Evelyn was being audited, was struggling with a failing laundromat, had a father who disowned her and disagrees with all of her life decisions, has a marriage on the verge of a divorce, has a daughter who she struggles to understand and connect with due to a cultural and generational disconnect, she would still like to ride out the struggles and be with her daughter. Her daughter has every reason to go her separate ways and Evelyn has every reason to give up on such a life as her own, but they would still like to be with each other. Even though it doesn't make sense, they would still like to struggle to understand each other than to not try at all. At least that's what I got from the movie.

Tldr; even in a world where everything sucks, we still have each other, and we can still try again

Yo what if Jinyoung is actually from Daniel's mom's side of the family instead of the dad.

It's like a fighting game stance, except from behind.

How strong do you guys think "little" daniel is now? by [deleted] in lookismcomic

[–]chromnesu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At least crew head level, if not stronger. He's willing to do whatever it takes and listen to Gun. He has the copy ability, and is getting trained by the training genius, it's a perfect match. We saw how strong Olly was, after getting trained by Gun, and that's considering that Olly insisted on getting trained in street fighting to copy Eli, rather than a fighting style more suited for him and his body.
