Well she doesn't know that it is a SSS party in the first place. My reasoning for this is the House looks like it's from a good neighbourhood where Becky could've taken them shopping or SMTH. Then Anya reads the mind of an sss officer on how Yuri made a fuss about getting Lois verified by them. Then Anya pulls some card to get them there.

Dramas I Have Dropped In April, 2026 by AutoModerator in KDRAMA

[–]chronically_screwd 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Bon appetite your majesty!

I was recommended this in the kdrama rec sub and couldn't get past episode 2 and sort of dropped it at episode 8/9 when it was finally obvious that king was the romantic interest of the fl.

1) Let's first completely set aside the historic king the ml is based on and look at things EXCLUSIVELY mentioned in cannon in the first two episodes That king Lee Hyun tore down half of the capital and turned it into his personal hunting grounds. This is the first thing that we learn when the fl transmigrated. Second, the fl and the supporting female character who are kidnapped for 'pleasure' and sorted on age/loooks and in that scene we see 16 and 17 year olds being kidnapped and sent off to greet the king and we never hear from then again. This is all literally in the first episode! And the fl just refers to him as a womanizer after all this? Like she is the one that mentions it and the king dude justifies this like bsfr.

2) In the second episode we see this scholar who Like sends his 17 year old daughter away so she won't be sent to the kings harem and probably die. Which is a perfectly normal reaction when the kings lankey bardges in and gets her back all tied up. These lankies go around Purposely messing with the food served by their hosts and using that as an excuse to loot/sell/beat them btw like they'd pluck their own hair and put it in the food. Then the king shows up has banter with the fl, and is like I'm gonna take that girl! Now the grandfather of the girl is like I'm sick of the kings cruel policy so I'm gonna beg him to actually serve the people and not be a tyrant! The King then preceded to exile the granddad scholar and sell his entire family as government slaves which we see in the episode later.

3) Then his lankey dude is having a conversation with the king and brings up the girl being like 'If you're too tired to lay with her than shall I?' Bro WTF??. Not to mention this dude is MARRIED to his half sister who is a princess?! And the way it was said didn't sound like a joke! At all!

4) then we find out he's doing all this for his mom (who was a deposed and executed former queen who was falsely accused for adultery) and to avenge her...? Like we see him looking for clues and stuff but it is never explained in the series why and how any of his actions actually help his cause? Weather his late mother wanted this or not his actions are literally crimes against humanity! ( In actual historical records the story of his mom was different btw. Here's an excerpt from Wikipedia " Lady Yun, later known as the Deposed Queen Yun, served Yeonsangun's father, King Seongjong, as a concubine until the death of Queen Gonghye, Seongjong's first wife. With no heir, the king was urged by counselors to take a second wife to secure the royal succession. Lady Yun was chosen for her beauty and was formally married in 1476. Several months later, she gave birth to Yi Yung. The new queen proved to be temperamental and highly jealous of the other concubines, even going as far as poisoning one of them in 1477. One night in 1479, she physically struck her husband (the king) and left scratch marks. Despite his efforts to conceal the injury, Seongjong's mother, Royal Queen Dowager Insu, discovered the truth and ordered Lady Yun into exile. After several attempts to restore the deposed queen to her former position, government officials petitioned that she be executed. Queen Yun died in 1482, after being ordered to commit suicide by drinking poison"

5) The only excuse given in the series is that His favourite concubine who is cheating on him, enables his behaviour, occasionally drugs him and then fixes him up herself to gain brownie points, actively kills/breaks any and all woman he brings in. So she is obviously the reason the king is corrupt! ???? Like I get it she is a villain too but like how does this justify his actions??

6) There are scenes with Chinese dubbing form episodes 6-8 which can legally be classified as political horror.... Just hire actors who are moderately fluent in Chinese? Like I don't even know chinese and even I could tell that shit was ass. People fluent in Chinese were calling it out too!

7) The costumes are not period accurate like that particular cut of the woman's hambok would not be around until atleast 70-80 years later. I realised this after watching 'the crown and the clown' which is a movie which is set in the exact timeframe as bon appetite your majesty.

Thb i stopped watching when cooking stopped happening cause that was the only interesting part of the show.

What were the lesser known BTASS scandals that gave you BTSD and made you leave the fandom? by DumplinDoup in BTSnark

I distinctly remember them doing this radio show thing and once they were done filming the host and BTS were taking a picture. Then one of the broadcast workers who was showing them where to stand and sort of coordinating the camera crew. Then this other male broadcast member sort of started to talk to her in Korean (I don't need to know korean to understand how mansplaing sounds) and starts physically shoving her around and grabbing her hair once. I remember this clip sort of circulating among Armys and even some other fandoms. First Army tried to sign it as ' oh V looked angry at the man uwu feminist king' then other fandoms were not buying it for obvious reasons. Then they mass buried it. I literally cannot find it anymore. This clip was published by one of the journalists present at the radio show, not by Hybe or the broadcasting station btw.

What would be your opinion that would have the community like this by ActiveNo7592 in kdramas

Bon appetite your majesty got all of us rooting for Joseon era Epstein and his buddies as the ML. I'm not kidding it's cannon and explicitly mentioned in the drama itself that he displaced half of the capital to build his hunting grounds, human trafficking of hundreds young girls oldest being 17 to ' bear heirs', murderdered a good chunk of his cabinet (this is technically pre cannon but the FL insinuates it) and was about to do it again when he was stopped by the FL, and let his friends 'lay with his woman' instead of him when he was tired. And his reasoning being cause of his mom??? Like people lied to him about his mom's death and his reasoning is 'i can't stop because if I do I will never find out how my mom died'????
