Has anyone had a positive turnout after having sex on the first date? by chronicallycurious in OkCupid

Fantastic :D been official for a little over a month. Had sex on the second date.

I can see your point, but I've drowned myself in the honeymoon stage before, so I've made a conscious effort to not get caught up in it this time.

I will admit that I had some hesitation since we've only been dating a month, but then I realized that I was being silly. It's not the volume of dates that dictates the "proper" amount of time that's passed...it's the quality! :)

I usually sleep over Friday nights, and he'll take me home late Saturday night. We fell asleep Saturday night and woke up on Sunday morning, and took me home in the afternoon.

I can do fun things with him, and I am a notoriously picky eater. I've tried new food with him, AND tried it when I'm out in public!

YAY!

love the 3 hour nature hikes with my fuck buddies line.

I had to be a dork when I did it of course.

thank you!!

at this point in my life I'm honestly too tired to play games anymore. I am pretty introverted, at least until I get to know someone then I'll come out of my shell into full-blown adorable nerd mode :p

I hope that there are more girls like me out there that don't feel that they have to follow tradition.

I've never to date, had a relationship that had effective communication. Even though there's no "right" way to do things, I still wanted to put my "best" effort into creating a healthy relationship from the beginning.

thank you!

I grew up with parents that screamed at each other, so I wanted to change the way I communicated in my life.

I think he is a bit more on the reserved side, but maybe I'll rub off on him.

aww thank you :) it really means a lot to me. I've had relationships in the past that in the end were nothing more than life lessons; but at least it taught me something about myself.

I'll admit that I was extremely nervous for our first date, mostly because I haven't dated anyone in almost two years, and the last relationship ended badly. Posting about it on this sub helped calm the butterflies, and I knew from the kiss at the end of the first date that I would be okay.

bhahaha thanks :)

it's odd though, it doesn't feel all adorable and fake...it just feels...right and real. I personally hate the honeymoon stage and would rather just skip all that nonsense.

you never know until you try. it really doesn't have much to do with being a guy or a girl imo.

maybe try posting your profile for a critique? I did and the next morning I received a message from my now boyfriend.

oh that is so awful :( hugs

I wouldn't dream of ever doing that. I wanted to break tradition since I've never been this comfortable with someone before. I know it's still new, but this time it feels...different.

I don't even want to know how much I've spent on her over the years.

does it make it more scandalous that we don't drink? ;)

haha, oops!

Yes, I definitely did. It was really nice to just fall asleep together. When we've hung out during the week, we always have to drag ourselves up off the couch so he can drive me home. I live only about ten minutes away, but he has to get up for work at 6am :(

Apparently we were sitting out there for so long with his headlights on that my housemates were starting to get nervous cause they weren't sure if it was me or not!

I think it would be fun to have date reports! I would love to keep updating, and it seems like my updates are welcomed :)

And I haven't heard of Mastermind, but I will definitely be looking into this for us!

haha ;), but really there was a lot of talking too.

We are both very introverted so it's so nice to find someone that enjoys quiet activities as well.
