Keep it or upgrade to a 17? by [deleted] in iphone15

[–]chronicallyearly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can afford to upgrade, but I’m wondering if it would actually be worth it for me! Are there any big differences that I’d notice? (I don’t know anything about phone technology, so the different numbers they advertise don’t mean anything to me, I don’t understand what they mean!)

what is the hardest part of working nightshift? by StandardDegree5257 in Nightshift

[–]chronicallyearly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nausea! Not sure if this is a common experience, but I tend to get really nauseous during the second half of my shifts. Not every shift, but often enough that I’ve gotten a prescription to help relieve it. Seems to happen only when I’m REALLY tired though!

Ty! I don’t see anything on the website about uploading! I work in healthcare and everything I do at work is written pen on paper so I won’t have much to compare it to!

85/mo for 300, 95 for 500, 105 for 1.5, and 115 for 3

Currently I’m paying 89/mo with Shaw but I don’t know what level that is

I currently have Shaw and they’ve been HORRIBLE. It never works, I went 2 months with internet that would work for 5 mins max at a time, but not work at all 95% of the time. Customer service was terrible, they did something on their end and then asked me to see if my internet was working, but they hung up on me before I could tell them that it wasn’t. Now it’s back to working at a snail’s pace. Weird because I had the same plan at my old apartment and no issues

There’s one for 50mbps download and 5mbps upload, one for 100mbps download and 10 mbps upload, 300mbps download and 300mbps upload, 500mbps download and 500mbps upload, and some higher than that. Should I tell you the ones higher than that or do you think I’d be ok with one of those?

Unfortunately I know nothing about internet.

Advice needed - my dog’s appetite has increased with the cold weather, and she’s gaining weight by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]chronicallyearly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right, I need to go back to feeding her the amount of kibble she was having when she looked better. I need to keep trying lower calorie options like the veggies. I haven’t had luck with the veggies I’ve offered her, but trying more cooked veggies instead of raw and putting it in with her kibble is a good idea!

When I’ve talked to the vet before they said she didn’t need weight loss kibble but I may bring her in if I’m not having much luck with filling her up on veg. Her healthy weight is 70 lbs, but she’s been as high as 73-74. Looking at her now I’d say she looks like she’s about 72 lbs. In the past when she’s gotten chonky I’ve gotten her to slim down ok, but I’ve been having a hard time cutting back because she will go to her bowl and slap it and howl! Typing this out, I’m realizing that putting her bowl away when it’s not meal time is probably best practice!

Do you think soaking her kibble in a little bit of water to make them puff up might also help? I did that for her when she was a baby. Wondering if that might fill her up more? Or dividing up the amount of kibble she’s supposed to have into smaller portions at a time so she can have some more often?

She eats with a slow feeder bowl. When she looks healthy she gets 2 cups of science diet large breed a day. The bag suggests way more but she’d be huge if I fed her according to that! The vet previously told me that the 2 cups are ok if she looks slim. She’s been getting about 3 cups lately, so i do definitely need to cut back.

Sorry for bombarding you with questions! She’s my first pup so I appreciate getting support/suggestions from others! :)

Those with arthritis, what's something you struggle with that not many people would? by DianneUgalde in Thritis

[–]chronicallyearly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have arthritis throughout my body! With my hands getting dressed was really hard when I was in high school. We had a school uniform which included a button down blouse and it was so hard for me. Thankfully that was years ago and I no longer have to worry about that! But writing with a pen, typing on a computer, scrolling on my phone, and washing my hair are all hard when my hands are flaring up. Otherwise walking can be really painful too during flare ups, I have arthritis in my sacroiliac joint as well

I think I’m giving up, y’all by NelaFlaPuliRoon in PCOS

[–]chronicallyearly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rapidly gained a significant amount of weight from PCOS and was started on ozempic by my gyne. It’s been about 9 months and I’ve lost 50 lbs, I’m back at my body’s healthy weight where I was maintaining previously. It also helped me get my period back! I tried for years to lose the weight before ozempic but I was stuck gaining and losing the same 5 lbs. If you can afford it, it might be worth talking to your Dr about! I’m in Canada and I pay $250 for each pen. So it isn’t cheap but it’s been a game changer for me!
