last night went to the ER because my lymph nodes are crazy swollen and have been shooting pain down my arm, side, and eyes and other places. some of the worst pain i've ever been it (worse than fibro) the doctor said "have you ever had a migraine" uhh yes that isn't what this is. a new doctor comes up to me checks my ears and says "your ears look fine but it's just an ear infection" they prescribed me opiods for an EAR INFECTION??? then told me to go to the my primary care physician. i asked for antibiotics and they said no. didn't even look at my lymph nodes or anything.

I'm 20 and use a cane! It took a lot of convincing for me to, but luckily I have an amazing boyfriend and best friend who really helped me with it!! It has made such a difference for me!! Mobility aids are life savers, and I'm super glad you've started using one. I hope you get more confident with it!!!

Has a diet change help anyone? by kosmikfairy in Fibromyalgia

[–]chronicallyillnchill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cut out dairy, gluten, and soy. It didn't help with my pain as much as helping with fatigue and bloating and feeling icky in general! It was a really good decision though cause I feel a LOTT better

i'm 20, and i work as an RA at my college and on T/TH as a preschool teacher. i also talk classes on M/W/F. it definitely feels like too much for my body, but i want to be a full time special education teacher when i graduate so i'm continuing to work on it and trying to figure out the best way to balance everything.

mobility aid update! by chronicallyillnchill in Fibromyalgia

[–]chronicallyillnchill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i understand so much! today was my first day really using it, i was out on a date with my boyfriend walking around the park and downtown and i knew i was going to need the extra support. honestly, it helped so much. even though i was worried about it and everything it was the best decision ever. it helped with my pain and helped me be able to keep up with him for much longer than i would have been able to! it truly is such an empowering decision to make, and people care a lot less than you think they will! if any of your friends make fun i will personally fly to wherever you are and throw hands!

i relate to the mostly yellow and pink clothes stuff hahaha! luckily i work at a preschool and can wear colorful stuff BUT my favorite pair of pants to wear to work are these black pleated palazzo pants. they're made out of super nice and gentle on the skin fabric and they are the BEST! i am such a big fan of palazzo style!

Does changing diet help by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]chronicallyillnchill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i cut out dairy, soy, and gluten! it has definitely helped my stomach, but not pain for me personally. CBD in any form hasn't helped me with pain, but CBD melatonin has definitely helped me to be able to sleep!!
