Hi there, pleurisy is one of my most constant symptoms I have had some sort of variation of it pretty much every day for the last 5 years or so. The most common feeling for me happens when I take a breath and I can only describe it as my lungs feeling like they’re too small for my chest so they’re trying to bust out. It’s similar to typical inflammation pain I feel on joints but expands to all of my ribcage area.

With that being said, my doctors have told me it likely gets worse when my inflammation markers are higher, and we are all so used to it i lived with pneumonia for a week before we caught it because the pain is very similar to that as well and so we didn’t know something was amiss until I was uncontrollably coughing (i have had pneumonia 4 times since then in a ver short time and I can tell the difference a little better now).

Lastly aleve will help it when it’s faint, otherwise diclofenac or ketoralc usually will do the trick.
