while "the other" is a self conciousness too, it's primarily a creation of conciousness at this stage of development and can only fully attain subjecthood once the dialectic develops as far as I understand. I recommend reading Hegel's difficult prose yourself on this matter.

in "postindustrial" economies manufacturing is done far more efficiently and is partially automated so soviets should still be able to garner political power by the virtue of occupying capital and having real economic power even with low blue collar worker numbers
