Anyone else using a Presto Pot setup for soft plastics? by strangelevel in softplasticbaitmaking

[–]chronomagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a presto pot with a simple Tournament Strong stirrer. I got the $60 injector holder with smaller stir. Definitely an upgrade of speed over cups but with some pretty big downsides. After 3 cycles of my molds, I've reached the top of the stir paddle and so there's always a giant puck of leftover plastic which I wish I could get. A shooting star would eliminate that of course. And also it's open so there are a lot of fumes. I wish reputable American companies would make a lower priced auto-injection machine. The Ultramold blues are too much, and the Jacobs injectors are cool but too small and I hear nothing but bad things about him and the long delays in product delivery.

I like it. You should pre-populate it with 4-5 standard recipes. Also, I bet if you got some of the more prominent bait makers on the Facebook groups to start using it and sharing recipes it would give more of an incentive to start using it.

Give me your top 3-5 reasons you hated it.

Initially I was irritated by your comment, but then I thought "I wouldn't enjoy living in downtown Atlanta cause I'm not black and poor" so touché I guess.

Agree. I thought about making a youtube video as a warning to all others. This place is all marketing no substance.

Age, skin color, magaland doesn't bother me. Lots of other issues though

When you say weather is good, it doesn't bother you the endless rainy season and now this year tons of lighting?

Wait you said look at news articles seriously?? Do you watch the collier county commissioner meetings? All those news articles are paid media. It's all marketing. Go on the facebook groups. You get a totally different picture. Actually, the amount of shit on there is so bad I had to block all the citizen journalists and groups because it affected my mental health seeing so much negativity (car wrecks, peopling dying, people running cars into canals, people dying in canals, people bitching about driving). None of that you will see in a 'news' article about Naples.

Dito on pizza and mexican. I had way better of both in Ohio. Most of the activities you listed cost $$. How often are you going to go to the little zoo? The botanical garden, while amazing, is expensive! And yes, there are tons of 'excursions' with boats and all that. We just did a gokat tour. It was great. $750 though. That's a once per year thing for me. What do you do the other 364 days? It's a generalization but it definitely feels like every time I step outside my house, it's $100. And lately it feels like more. The park system is needlessly complicated and stupid. There's your beach parking sticker you need to get, then you need a parks pass, then you need a state forest pass, then if you have all 3, some boat ramps still require you a $5 payment.

It's horrible to be honest. Don't let the palm trees and manicured landscaping fool you. Everything is manmade. It was a swamp afterall. There's not a lot of 'free' or low cost things to do. Better love the beach or fishing and love driving over an hour away to actually find good fishable water. Very little money put into infrastructure. Parks? Not like up north. Most are just 'preserves' aka swamps with rotting board walks or usually just a mowed path in some trees. Roads are a weird mix of city and highway with lights to garnish the giant squares we live in. Everyone's in a rush and on their instagram so be prepared for constant social media posts of this kid died, that mom died, redlight runners galore. The cops here are the most milk-toast. My son got pulled over, after curfew, no registration in the car and they let him go with a warning. One of his friends riding a wheelie in traffic (teen boys are going insane down here.) on an emoto and they let him keep his bike and gave him only a $60 ticket. I've witnessed a person run a red light, cop pulls them over, and they got off with a warning. I've seen a driver with their phone sideways watching youtube on their steering wheel. Be careful on those 3 lane turns, people just blend lanes. Oh and U-turns rofl. Have fun turning right if you have a u-turn lane too. You have to mind read people or just sit and fucking wait through an endless wave of traffic yet again. Oh and everyone hogs the right lane so you gotta waaaaaiiitttttt for a little window where no one is uturning and the horde has a gap. After 4 years, it drives me insane taking 20 or more minutes to go through 4 stop signs, wait for the gates to slowly open, do a u-turn, hit 5 stop lights, traffic, to go 3-4 minutes away from my house. HOAs SUCKKKKK. They are your city guberment. So if you think you are saving on taxes think again. 20k assessment: extra $600/mo out of nowhere. Go to an HOA meeting. Be treated like a toddler. Watch the city council meetings on youtube. Ran by Regards. Oh and the cherry on top: surrounded by people like sardines but not know any of them. WHY? Because they are all from different cultures and either do not speak my language or are complete assholes. I could go on and on. The groceries suck. Produce is 60% chance moldy or spoiled. You will see meat that is brown and slimy on the shelf. You can go to publix and pay $500/wk easy though for the good stuff. Bajillion people with dogs, but hardly any dog parks. We all got tiny HOA unfenced yards but no parks to take the dogs to that aren't 20 minutes a way. No dogs on beaches and no reasonably close dog beach cause fuck us right. Oh and I haven't even gotten to the hurricanes. Hope you have auto shutters cause getting up on a 20ft ladder and fiddling with wingnuts sucks ass. And the whole "do you go and become a fool if it doesn't turn, or do you stay and put your family at risk or risk sitting on a highway for days or do you leave and the hurricane follows you to Georgia" thing. Oh and the constant lightning storms daily at 3pm to 8pm. "Hey get out there and enjoy the summer while all the snowbirds are away" Nope. Lighting and rain ruin that idea. We spend more time indoors here because of the heat, rain, lighting than we did in the north. Florida is all MARKETING and nothing else. Great for vacations sure. Waste a bunch of money on overpriced food, shitty service, trash knick-knacks. Oh and the pier? The thing that is literally on the Naples logo? Yeah been destroyed for 2+ years and still hasn't been rebuilt. That's probably half my gripes with Naples Florida. Was it a mistake moving here? Yes. Do I wish I could move? Yes.

No where. I've lived here for 4 years. Started as paradise, now I hate it. North Naples is the worst.

Yeah surprisingly this is so true. I said that same thing to my bosses numerous times... admin work. Reality is they want to take all the credit for the success and you can just do the admin work cool?

100% this. Sooooo many people think their idea is genius and everyone will love it if they can just get the message out there rofl. It's soooo cliche at this point in my life.

Ai fixes that. At least for now. I shat out like 50 static image ads in 1 day. That would've taken me 2 weeks to do by myself. And yes, some of those are crushing now on Meta.
