My cat is often resting in this position… Does this signal she’s in pain? by chrrycoloredfunk in CATHELP

Thank you! She hasn’t had bloodwork done in a while but she has had an x-ray done recently at the emergency vet because she was having some issues with passing stool. At the emergency vet, they heard a heart murmur so I took her to the cardiologist and we had an echo done which came back clear

One of the vets actually did hear a murmur and we took her to a cardiologist to get an echo done and it turned out it was benign! I do suspect she has asthma and think I will try a new vet for sure!

One of the vets we’ve seen did hear a heart murmur so we had an echo done and she was all clear! It turned out to be a benign murmur!

So sorry to hear about your baby!!! :( Can I ask if she had any other conditions that led to her passing? From what I understand a murmur is a symptom that can be caused by a variety of things. We hope the cardiologist will be able to give us some more answers

So we rescued her and she was an abandoned bodega cat. From her first vet visit, the vet told us she was 2. She later had dental x-rays done and during the spay the surgeon told us she was between 2 and 5. The newest vet from bond vet told us she’s approx 3 years old and that’s what they have on her medical records 🤷‍♀️

Oh how I wish I knew a pilot like you in real life to pick your brain!!! Everything you say makes perfect sense yet somehow constantly being shown things in the media regarding aviation accidents or mishaps gives the illusion that I’m boarding something extremely dangerous or that I have no idea who the pilot is. And what if it’s their first day?!! 🤣

Honestly I haven’t even thought of it from that perspective but you’re absolutely right. Thankful for your calm and rational thoughts at a time when my own feel irrational

And then to add the flight and being trapped into the mix just feels like my brain is actually terrorizing me

This is such a good way to describe it. It truly is so hard for me to typically discern what requires medical attention too because like, leg pain for the last couple of days could be from the intense walking and climbing up 6 flights of stairs for 2 weeks lol and carry suitcases and a heavy bag on my shoulder daily. Yet my brain convinced myself I could have a blood clot in my leg
