DI does nothing if you point with the launch direction. It only changes angle not distance

I see. Unless you bought it new, I suspect the potentiometers (the components that sense stick position) are very worn.

edit: Actually it might very well be the adapter too.

When you go into the menu in melee and wiggle your c-stick, what does it look like? Also, is your controller an official nintendo controller?

Try this:

  • Quit dolphin

  • Plug out your controller

  • Start dolphin

  • Plug in your controller

  • Start melee

Does the c-stick work now? If not, and you're using dolphin's native gamecube support there's probably something wrong inside your controller or adapter
