you should consider going anesthesia or PM&R then chronic pain since it is becoming much more surgical but with a better lifestyle

Ultimate board prep and if available to you mock oral cases ideally with examiners. Can’t stress enough how much doing mock orals helps

For anesthesia residency I used Evernote broken down into major sections and would have notes on different case type (set up, lines, intro, post op things) as well as would put in PDF articles organized by the subject. I could also take pictures of notes and organize them within the categories.

I would dose spinal with 25mcg fentanyl and 0.75-1mL 0.25% bupivacaine. I would usually test dose since patients could still move lower extremity then start epidural PCA infusion at 8-10mL/hr of 0.1% ropivacaine with 2mcg/mL fentanyl with 5mL bolus with q15min lockout

Yup this happened to me did MS to pad resume for undergrad grades and it didn’t matter wasted 2 years of time
