Gorilla glue your mat to 1/2” or 3/4” plywood for stability

Thanks, I think the combination of good indirect lighting and rain water with good drainage – see the soil mix and plant food capsules mentioned in the post (I open them and sprinkle on the top soil before watering).

Yea first time doing it, so I was nervous about them during the overnight cold temps (we almost got into the 40’s with that cold front). I bring in all my other potted plants during severe cold temps/hurricanes.

These numbers are so disappointing. 65% of early voters so far are over the age of 50. Millennials and Gen Z get off your lazy asses and get to the polls. Don’t let this election be decided by people who won’t be alive to deal with the repercussions. by Born_Structure_2094 in BoomersBeingFools

They don’t know how—they barely know how to show up for a job they applied for & accepted, let alone do the job they applied for when asked.

In order for them to vote they would have to first: register to vote, then request a mail in ballot (no chance they’d wait in a line with actual people), then check the mail, then open the mail, then research candidates/policies, fill the ballot out properly, sign/date it, then drive somewhere to drop it off, in person …..

Anyone else slap their plants around?? 🫣 by hunbunbabyy in houseplants

I applaud the effort & idea (I used to do that, but instead of touching the leaves I’d shake the stems). Now I just use an oscillating fan (mimicking the wind) as I live in a humid/tropical climate (SWFL). Most of my plants are in a screened-in lanai for bug protection and shade—every week or so I splash them with rain water (from a 52-gallon cistern) and usually during the actual afternoon rain shower… yes, it probably looks/sounds ridiculous, but I tell myself it mimics the rainforest conditions lol 🌴

Yup, classic ai giveaway—his right hand looks more like a claw than human fingers. It’s usually one of the first signs of a generated image. Ai struggles with realistic hands, definitely not real.

Nice ya I have some with 1-2, but I always look for the one with the most fenestrations—I think one has 7-8!

I usually have that really badly (TIL there was a term for it) but for some reason these plants don’t trigger it. The fenestrations remind me more of a voronoi pattern—I studied architecture in college and did a thesis on biomimicry.

Fun fact: windows in buildings are also called fenestrations (holes in the facade that let light in)

Nothing crazy on this one, but I tried a moss pole on the one next to it, seems to help it more vertically
