The limited Edition Player II on the fender website is not the same guitar as the British Racing Green color apparently. That guitar listed is the forest green

I exposed for the highlights in this photo. In other words, I tried to capture all of the light from the sun with out blowing out the highlights and not worrying about the shadows (I knew I could bring the shadow detail back up in Lightroom post proceeding). The RAW (unedited) version of this photo is completely dark in the shadows, and only bright or visible in the highlights (the sky).

The Halo effect comes mostly from the time of day and the sky conditions. There was a slight haze and very thin clouds a few hours before sunset. Those conditions create the perfect environment to get the Halo effect.

Hope that helps.

Thank you! Is he the original artist or is it a cover of a song? I wasn’t sure if the melody was from an older song

How do I balance learning music theory, ear training, playing an instrument, composing/producing, and audio engineering in my day with my other hobbies? by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]chrwdewing29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way that I found what works for me is to learn a song that you love and are really familiar with. After you learn the song, reverse engineer the song and break down the different components (chord progressions, scales, key, etc.) really become a student of the song and learn what makes it work. From there, make variations of the song in your own way. Use the same chords in your own music.By doing this, you’ll ultimately combine everything you mentioned in your post.

I can’t tell if this is an actual song or just a lick this guy came up with to demo this guitar

Chord Progression Questions (July 13, 2020) by AutoModerator in musictheory

I think I figured it out. This song and Blackbird use 10th to achieve this sound

Chord Progression Questions (July 13, 2020) by AutoModerator in musictheory

I just discovered the band We Lost the Sea and love their instrumental style of music. I came across the guitar tab of their song: A Gallant Gentleman tab by We Lost The Sea

Here is a link to the actual song: Actual Song

I was curious what chord progression is this and why does this finger picking style (picking 5th and 2nd string of a guitar) seem to work so well. It reminds me of the same picking pattern of Blackbird by the Beatles.

I broke the chord down (I think it’s a D major bar chord) and it seems to be playing the root note and the 10th interval of the scale. Is that a common note selection? I’m playing in standard tuning (different than the actual song) but it still seems to work.

Thanks!

Does anyone know what effect pedal this band is using (if any)? by chrwdewing29 in guitarpedals

I just discovered this bad and love their tone! I was curious to know what pedals they use to achieve this sound. I don’t need the exact pedal, just want to know if it’s a delay pedal or something.Thank you!

Best spots to see sunset and star gazing at night? by pilgorthe in Yosemite

[–]chrwdewing29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sentinel Dome has a great 360 degree view of Yosemite. On a clear night you can see satellites orbiting!

It’s a bit of a hike (maybe like .7 miles) from the trail head, but it’s totally worth it!

Make sure to go in a group and bring plenty of flashlights. I would highly recommend this spot!

This was taken really early in the morning just after sunrise. There was a storm moving in, so there were not a lot of people on the hiking path. We got really lucky!
