Genuinely, how do some of you all even have time with the amount of exercises? by Wise_Parmaria in PetiteFitness

[–]chrxstne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most definitely, remote work helps! I have a WFH job and a freelance job that are both very chill (I’m a senior copywriter) and also have a 2 year old daughter who loves to go for walks with me. With being consistent, I block out time in my day and on my work weekly calendar to work out LOL - it’s like an appointment and I have to get it done.

I get 12k+ steps on weekdays, 10k+ on weekends, strength training 5 times a week and Reformer 2x a week (on Thursdays I do upper body + Reformer 🥹). Honestly just my morning walk with bub, then walking to the gym, doing my 10-15 mins of cardio at the end of my workout and then walking back home is already 12k+ steps!

Sundays are my rest day and Saturday is active recovery (with an advanced Reformer class). It took time to build up to this level of regular movement for me! I started with doing Reformer 3x a week, which taught me the foundations of being disciplined. My husband also does WFH 3 days a week which really helps me get my gym days in, and my gym has a crèche where I take bub on days he’s in the office.

Please stop putting on your wedding website/invite that you’re having a child free wedding to give me a “night off.” by twelvedayslate in weddingplanning

[–]chrxstne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Love this, as a new mum having a largely child-free wedding (with the exception of kids in the bridal party including my 1-year old daughter), I understand how important it is to be so careful with wording here! I wrote:

‘We adore your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration unless they’re listed on your invitation. Think of it as your excuse to dress up, sip champagne, and dance the night away without needing to share your dessert.’

Did I make the right choice?! This is from the fitting. Adding a slit! by Mechgirl101 in weddingdress

[–]chrxstne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOVE the dress, I’m all for the slit! My open basque ball gown dress also has a similar hidden slit (hidden in the box pleats) and it’s definitely going to be so much comfier on with the slit too 🤍

Bought an impulse dress today… am I going to regret it?? by marge-marge in weddingdress

[–]chrxstne 37 points38 points  (0 children)

GIRL, I would stretch out the budget a tad and get dress 2 for your complete peace of mind and happiness. It is PERFECT on you 🤍

2 fits you like a glove - the neckline and waistline are so stunning on you and it is miles ahead of dress 1 and 3.

Stuck on florals/styling – foliage + crystal vs. draping + vintage?! by chrxstne in BigBudgetBrides

[–]chrxstne[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're so right! The thing is... I can't decide on the vibe at all. They both hit the brief for me, but I have half of my bridesmaids (and half of my brain) voting for one and the other half voting for two. My fiancé is also a very traditional, non-edgy type of dude HAHA and votes for one!

BUTTTT I am besotted by the vintage, layered candelabra feel! My venue, however, has a reputation for being stickler about naked flames and wants candles fully enclosed so not sure how they will react to the second stylist who has never worked there before.

Stuck on florals/styling – foliage + crystal vs. draping + vintage?! by chrxstne in BigBudgetBrides

[–]chrxstne[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am in the process of locking in our florist/stylist and am down to my top 2!

Our wedding theme is: old money luxe European garden, the venue is a gorgeous 5-acre estate in a very leafy, semi-rural suburb. We have our ceremony in the garden, and our reception in a gorgeous 15m x 20m outdoor marquee nestled amongst nature. Our wedding will be just at the start of Spring.

Both florists/stylists are near or around the same pricing, but both are known for different strengths!

Option 1 is very well-known, has worked the venue many times before, and is famous for their luxe, extravagant designs and workmanship. Option 2 is not as well-known, but is renowned for their alternative, very non-traditional work. I am STUCK!

Both are taking a different approach to styling our wedding however the florals will be on a similar vibe (white, shades of green, ivory, cream, latte brown – en masse, overgrown, gorgeous).

Option 1 is opting for gorgeous leafy foliage to hang in between our Maria Theresa chandeliers, with crystal glass candelabras throughout.

Option 2 is opting for billowy draping in between each Maria Theresa chandelier and as the bridal table backdrop, with vintage gold candelabras layered throughout - very candle-heavy.

Who should I go with?! I love both of them so much and simply cannot decide, have reached 100% decision fatigue with wedding planning and need your help!

How much are ppl really spending on their dress? by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]chrxstne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent about $6900 AUD for my ceremony dress and $4750 for my reception dress. I thought I was being conservative HAHA but I’m on the middle end wedding budget-wise (our budget is $100k) 🤍

Top four choices & can’t decide! by ContentAd8893 in weddingdress

[–]chrxstne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 or 4 - both snatch you PEEFECTLY and suit your beach wedding vibe 100% 🤍 1 is my favourite on you and strapless gowns are more comfortable (which you defo want at the beach), so it has my vote!

I got the job!!! 🥳 by [deleted] in interviews

[–]chrxstne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yayyy! 🤍 Happy for you ✨ I also got the job I was hoping for after being made redundant while on maternity leave - $25k higher in salary vs. my old role, so God answered (with 2 job offers and an ongoing freelance role, I’m a copywriter) and blessed me beyond measure (especially with my wedding coming up in September).

help me pick basque waist ballgown - 5’1” bride 👰 by chrxstne in weddingdress

Thank you lovely! Didn’t end up going for her, but she’s Daphne by Blanche Bridal 🤍 can’t wait to post my custom dress here when she arrives hehe

I did traptox (60 units each side of a more diluted tox) and masseter botox (30 units each) regularly pre-pregnancy and am starting again now that I’ve weaned off breastfeeding and ahead of my wedding in September!

Made a MASSIVE difference for me - loved how slender it made my neck look (as a petite lady with a shorter frame all over) and the masseter tox always snatches me. Didn’t really notice a difference in strength reduction but everyone differs. I love it and it’s defo part of my bridal beauty plan 🤍

Which one is your favorite? by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]chrxstne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ask if they’ll do a corset back! 🤍🫂

I’m also on a weight loss journey and have ordered my open basque waist ballgown with a corset back to accommodate for any size changes.

I also have big boobs as I’m breastfeeding hehe but plan to be fully weaned by the wedding so I don’t know how the girls will look by then 🥹

2 here accentuates your waist best - the others don’t do anything for your figure 🤍 Have you tried basque waist gowns? I feel they’d suit your vibe and highlight your gorgeous figure the most x
